Have you ever just "sat" on the Hive "New Posts" feed, looking for something interesting and worthwhile to engage with? You know, look at the "recent posts" feed, and just refresh every couple of minutes or so?
It was how I started, back on the "old" chain, before there even was a Hive.
I hate to say it, though: These days the content stream is a lot slower than it was back then... there was often 20-30 new posts per minute. Now? Just a handful. Or maybe I was looking during an off-peak time slot.
I started this account as a little "side project" to support artistic and creative content in the community.
Back then, it was with the "Creative Coin" community... and its CCC token. The idea being to send a little extra reward in the direction of artists and creatives.
It was definitely a nice idea, but — in time — the CCC token lost most of its value, victim of the usual "community format problem" of this idea to offer people rewards with a token... but no actual plan or value proposition as to how that was supposed to work, in the long run.

It's a common story, but tokens don't just magically "have value" out of thin air, without something to actually provide that value. Like a business idea. Or an investment plan. Or something.
These days, my remaining CCC tokens are mostly tied up in a couple of liquidity pools, at least earning back a few cents a day towards the many hundreds I lost on the proposition.
In the end, though, I would still like this account to develop some meaning and value for people.
So I am contemplating good ways to "repurpose" it, and to hopefully participate in the community in a more meaningful way.
I'm also casting about for Hive-based projects and communities that might have at least some chance of not only "surviving," but actually thriving.
Back to That "Content Creator Cycle..."
The thing I was considering was this cycle people go through. Or maybe some people go through.
You get started with great fanfare and enthusiasm. But — whether you do well, or not so well — you reach a point where your "creative well" starts to run a little dry.
And so, when I sit there and watch the "new posts" feed, I see quite a few old-timers here who have gone from seeming more "enthusiastic," to creating something far less creative and perhaps even a little mechanical.
Not really blaming anyone — after all, it can be challenging to "stay creative" all the time — just observing.
Anyway, I will continue forth and hopefully can find a way to resume supporting original and creative content here on Hive. Whether such a thing is even possible or useful around here without a massive investment in Hive Power, that remains to be seen. For now, I am just a wee "Minnow," in the greater scheme of things.
Allrighty, onwards, upwards! Time to find my lost creativity!
