Let’s go back to 1972, fall, Canada post released 5 different Landscape stamps. The 10 cent stamp features a typical central Canadian forest in the fall. Moving on to the 15 cent stamp, this one depicts Big Horn sheep grazing on a mountainside. The 20 cent stamp features a typical flat prairie landscape divided by various fields. The 50 cent stamp is representative of the west coast , probably somewhere near Vancouver, but I am actually not sure on this one. The final stamp, and my favourite is the 25 cent, which has two large polar bears, looking for their next meal! All these stamps were designed and created by Reinhard Derreth, a German born artist who immigrated to Canada in the 1950’s (1928-2023). Which is your favourite?
