Potatoes are high carbohydrate foods and with it we can make different types of dishes suitable for the whole family especially children love fried and mashed. Potatoes are very common in Venezuela we can find it in any food establishment from small to large and even washed, is always present in our daily meals.

For the realization of this recipe the main ingredient was the potato, which our friend @qurator asked us for in his weekly Top Chef contest, it was quite easy to organize this meal with this spectacular ingredient.

Potato cake with meat

Ingredients:

• ½ kilo of ground meat
• 1 kilo and ½ of potato
• 2 Onions
• 3 tomatoes
• 1 carrot
• 1 tablespoon of oil
• 2 tsp. Soy sauce
• 1 Zucchini
• Salt and pepper

Preparation

• Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet, sauté onion until transparent,

• Add the ground meat already seasoned with salt and use a fork to dissolve any lumps formed by the meat.

• Then add the striped carrot.

• Now the striped zucchini

• Mix until all ingredients are integrated.

• Cook the tomatoes for the sauce.

• Then add the tomato sauce and the soy sauce to the meat.

• Ready the meat. Remove

Preparation of mashed potatoes

• Separately cook the potatoes in boiling water until they are very soft.

• Peel and then prepare the mashed potatoes very thin.

• Add salt, butter and liquid milk.

• In a deep, ovenproof dish place the mashed potatoes in layers, then the béchamel cream and then the meat and so on until the end, bake for 15 minutes or until the surface is golden.

• Serve with salad, vegetables or bread.
