Hoy les comento sobre las anécdotas de mi primera competencia de Acuatlón, pero primero les explico, por si no saben qué tipo de competencia es, el Acuatlón es una combinación de dos modalidades: natación y running, es muy parecido a un triatlón pero sin el ciclismo.
Today I tell you about the anecdotes of my first Aquathlon competition, but first I explain, in case you do not know what type of competition it is, the Aquathlon is a combination of two modalities: swimming and running, it is very similar to a triathlon but without the cycling.
()Debo decir entonces que mi primera competencia vino cargada de varias anécdotas ya que no estaba muy convencida de competir por mi miedo a no aguantar todo el recorrido, que por cierto, dicho recorrido constaba de: 2,5 kms de running luego 750 mts de natación y 2,5 kms otra vez de running. Es una competencia bastante rápida pero yo no iba por velocidad sino para demostrarme a mi misma que si podía aun cuando estaba aterrada por no caer desmayada.
I must say then that my first competition came loaded with various anecdotes since I was not very convinced of competing due to my fear of not holding the entire route, which by the way, said route consisted of: 2.5 kms of running then 750 meters of swimming and 2.5 kms again of running. It is a fairly fast competition but I was not going for speed but to demonstrate to myself that I could even when I was terrified not to pass out.
Estuve entrenando muy fuerte durante un tiempo natación porque ya running lo estaba entrenando desde hacía un año y me sentía cómoda corriendo pero con natación no estaba muy preparada sin embargo me encanta nadar. Llegó el día de la competencia y todo marchaba muy bien salvo que tenía un pequeño mareo y no sabía porque pero se lo atribuí a los nervios.
I was training very hard for a while swimming because I had been training for a year since running and I felt comfortable running but with swimming I was not very prepared however I love to swim .. The day of the competition arrived and everything was going very well except that I had a little dizziness and I didn't know why, but I attributed it to my nerves.
Ya en el lugar de la competencia, busqué mi número, me inscribí, compartí con un gran amigo al que llamo “Mi tritón” porque es nadador de experiencia y simplemente bello jejejejeje. Me encontré además con otras amistades maravillosas que me apoyaron en todo momento y así me sentí más segura de mi, ya que las amistades son el mejor regalo que la vida te puede dar.
Already at the competition site, I looked for my number, I signed up, I shared with a great friend whom I call "My newt" because he is an experienced swimmer and simply beautiful hehehehehe. I also met other wonderful friends who supported me at all times and thus I felt more secure in myself, since friendships are the best gift that life can give you.
Y señoras y señores, llego la hora, ya estábamos dispuestos en el Arco de Salida, fulll nervios, ansiedad a mil, tensión, presión y lo peorrr Ohhh Noooooo, el mareo no se me quitaba, estaba en una encrucijada, abandonaba y dejaba de competir o me arriesgaba a desmayarme en plena competencia. Decidí arriesgarlo todo porque había entrenado mucho como para dejarlo todo a última hora. ¡¡¡¡Bummm!!!!! Dieron el disparo de arrancada, todos los corredores corrieron a su máximo nivel, yo también! ¡Qué nervios tenía!
And ladies and gentlemen, the time has come, we were already ready at the Exit Arch, fulll nerves, anxiety a thousand, tension, pressure and the worst Ohrh Noooooo, the dizziness did not go away, I was at a crossroads, I abandoned and stopped compete or risk fainting in the heat of competition. I decided to risk everything because I had trained so much to drop everything at the last minute.
Cuando terminaba la primera etapa (running) y llego al punto de colocarme los implementos para nadar, ¡¡kaboommm!! Se me rompieron los lentes de natación, no podía creerlo, me tocaba entrar al mar picado por la hora (9:30 am) y nadar 750 mts sin lentes, Que desastre pero bueno fueron segundos de desespero y no lo pensé mucho, me metí a nadar así mismo y lo hice con todas mis fuerzas, hice un buen tiempo a pesar de todo y allí a correr la última etapa, estaba ya cansada pero con ganas de terminar y cruzar la meta y lo menos que quería era sentirme más incomoda pero al ponerme los zapatos para correr otra vez, mis pies estaban empapados y tuve que correr así, los zapatos totalmente mojados, sentía que me resbalaba, pero culminé la competencia.
When I finished the first stage (running) and I got to the point of putting on my swimming gear, kaboommm !! My swimming glasses broke, I could not believe it, I had to enter the choppy sea for the hour (9:30 am) and swim 750 meters without glasses, What a disaster but well it was seconds of despair and I did not think much, I got to swim myself and I did it with all my strength, I had a good time despite everything and there to run the last stage, I was already tired but wanting to finish and cross the finish line and the least I wanted was to feel more uncomfortable but When I put on my running shoes again, my feet were soaked and I had to run like this, my shoes totally wet, I felt like I was slipping. But I finished the competition.
Hasta que lo hice, crucé la meta y gané un buen puesto, no pensé jamás que estaría en los primeros lugares porque era mi primera vez. Fue una experiencia estupenda, me sentí orgullosa de mi avance en el deporte y en mi salud, sentí que podía mejorar aún más y sobre todo sentí que fui feliz, eso es lo mejor de practicar deportes, sentirme contento, feliz, alegre.
Until I did it, I crossed the finish line and won a good position, I never thought I would be in the first places because it was my first time. It was a great experience, I was proud of my progress in the sport and in my health, I felt that I could improve even more and above all I felt that I was happy, that is the best thing about practicing sports, feeling happy, happy, happy
