Sometimes, you just wanna sit down and get lost in a mind-numbing session of movie binging, and @jimah1k all too perfectly shared the concept of getting lost in this movie review of Missing. I managed to see the trailer for it before, but the title flew from my mind. Now that I encountered it again, I gonna say trailer-wise, it did capture my curiosity, as this time it's an adult who was abducted, and it's up to the tech-savvy teenage daughter to find her mom using any form of social media necessary. So if that's enough to reel you in despite not knowing the execution of the storyflow of this movie, I'd probably give it a watch myself. 🍿 | ![]() |

Speaking of getting lost, @sarakey did an awesome article of her trip thru this magical waterfall, complete with a whimsical tiny bridge that just gives Terabithia vibes or as close to going on an adventure in Hobbiton. Truly a magical sight to see in person, especially as it's a foreign concept for me to see a flowing waterfall during a season that looks like it still has frost around. Might not be a wise idea for a dip like the ones we have locally, but the views here might as well make up for it! ヾ(* ▼・▼)ノ⌒☆ | |
On the topic of magical adventures and whimsical towns, if you're more used to getting lost in your own head and making up places instead, then this Townscaper game as shared by @gabotask might just be up your alley. What I found to love about this game basing on the gameplays I searched, it's pretty straightforward without the need to do those usual match-3 puzzles. Now that I've also looked it up on Steam, it might be something I'd be interested in having in my library as something to relax with - like the joy of playing Lego by yourself without the fear of others messing with your stuff or causing lots of distraction. In a way, there is beauty in making peace. | ![]() |
What's another activity that brings peace to your mind that doesn't involve bringing other people down? I'd like to say that other than getting immersed in the current game I'm trying to achieve a 100% in, when it comes to in-real-life adventures, it's always a welcome sight to discover something new and comforting. Much like this elegantly classic coffee shop as shared by @minhtrang - which on a different occasion I may have chosen something close to an exhilarating activity, but with age comes along a sense of maturity that just makes one want to sit down and take in the beauty in their surroundings, away from the taint that a toxic community inevitably degenerates into. | ![]() |
And as final words for the week on cultivating happiness as graciously shared by @highdylaw, it's a simple concept enough that may vary with different types of people. Humanely, it should be considered fulfilling to be of help to others or at least try not to be a burden, but as human nature goes, most aren't able to overcome their destructive, spiteful nature. So best not associate oneself with those no better than mindless animals infected with rabies, and let's focus on ourselves much like how OP pointed out to Practice Gratitude and Pursue Meaningful Goals, which might help in adding a little bit of depth.
