It is Sunday, May 17th, 2020.
As I write these words, the planet is still under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Depending on who you ask, maybe it's the "Plandemic," and maybe it's the "Scamdemic."
Truthfully, I'm not sure what sort of intent we need to assign to all this. Mostly, I find myself wondering whether we need to assign anything much beyond the basic "follow the money" admonition that goes with living in a deeply Capitalist society. Or "Crapitalist," as some might call it.

My guess would be that IF this is somehow a planned event, it is by very few because the world has already thoroughly proved — over a period of many centuries — it's complete and utter inability to get along and agree to something collective.
So IF there is a planned "something" here, it would have to be orchestrated by just a handful of players, with everyone else simply being bystanders or "collateral damage."
But I am not really interested in dwelling on the deeper motivations, there.
I ascribe that to the reality of my own experience in life that I have never perceived myself to be significant enough to be the "target" of anything, even collectively.

So anyway, while we sit here — mostly in our homes — millions of stories are being told. After all, we have a lot more time on our hands to do things like keep journals, and tell stories. And so, stories are being told. Stories that range from finding inner peace and meaning in the chaos to uncovering conspiracy theories.
And so, a great repository of stories is being built... something that (perhaps) future generations will be able to look at if they search for "Covid-19 2020" from some search portal in a distant future.
What are YOU contributing to the story stream? Do you think we will even BE here, in 2070? Or will we long since have destroyed ourselves in a storm of greed, deception and manipulation? We we have succeeded in "replacing ourselves" with the Artificial Intelligence we keep creating?
A flower in our garden
As Albert Einstein is alleged to have commented, a long time ago:
“I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”
Will we just be a group of strange farmers, building some semblance of a life in the ruins of a "civilization" that went very, very wrong? Will these stories we are now telling and scattering across the WWW still be here? Will our great-grandkids read these stories?
I have no answers, by the way... although I tend to lean towards the more optimistic end of the spectrum. In time, the imminent threat of dystopia tends to "shake loose" the apathy of the silent majority...
