Siempre me apasiono el mundo del hardware, limpieza, reparación y mantenimiento, desde que cumplí quince años cuando tome un trabajo en un centro de conexiones cerca de mi casa, allí aprendí mucho, cada vez que iba el técnico semanalmente a realizar los mantenimientos preventivos y así fui aprendiendo lo más que pude, luego de eso decidí ingresar a la universidad y estudiar Informática, lo que hice y disfrute mucho la carrera, aprendí más a fondo lo que ya sabia, también aprendí a programar y muchas cosas más que ahorita no vienen al caso.
Esta vez quiero hablarles un poco sobre el mantenimiento preventivo para nuestros computadores, siempre he aconsejado a mis clientes hacer por lo menos en el rango de 3 a 6 meses, dependiendo del lugar donde se encuentre el computador, la cantidad de polvo o dependiendo del uso que se le dé, ya que actualmente muchas personas con acceso a internet y falta de conocimiento, casi siempre me llegan las computadoras porque se ponen muy lentas y cuando las reviso, tienen mucho malware instalado, los navegadores no funcionan bien o simplemente el muy común virus recycler, creo que este último es quien más trae el pan a casa.

Esta vez mi cliente me trajo este computador, un modesto DualCore, comprado mediante el gobierno, y que conocemos acá como computadores ensamblados por VIT, según me comentaba prendía, pero no daba imagen y por eso me la trajo, lo primero que hago siempre que me llegan equipos es verificar que la falla que me indican sea cierto, conecte todo el equipo y ciertamente arrancaba y, como el computador no trae speaker en placa base, no podía saber si el problema era la RAM, decidí abrir y ver con que me topaba, al abrir el gabinete me tope con lo usual, mucho sucio en los ventiladores, pelusas y mucho polvo y como no me gusta trabajar así decidí hacer un mantenimiento rápido y que me permitiera trabajar a gusto.

Este procedimiento es muy sencillo y, no se necesita acudir a un técnico para que lo haga y te puedes ahorrar unos cuantos centavos, lo importante es tener las herramientas necesarias para desarmar y limpiar, si te animas a realizarlo tu mismo, te comparto lo necesario, un destornillador de estría largo, cepillo de diente viejo, una brocha pequeña, trapo de microfibra, un borrador y lo más importante de todo, pasta térmica y muchas ganas de aprender a hacer esto tu mismo.

Primero que todo te dejaré unos datos para que tengas presente por si te da temor ejecutar este procedimiento tu mismo, lo primero que tienes que tener presente es que la mayoría del hardware de computadores es como le digo yo "Anti tontos", cada cosa va en su lugar y es imposible que conectes algo donde no va, ya con esto te aseguro que el miedo se disipara un poco y podrás empezar, mi segundo consejo es recuerda de donde retiras cada tornillo, ya que no todos son iguales y aunque sigue la misma regla del anti tontos, muchas veces fuerzan los tornillos y dañan las roscas, lo tercero y último, hazlo con mucho cuidado, son componentes electrónicos y la limpieza se debe hacer suave y como casi siempre solo se acumula polvo.

Luego de retirar la tornillería y extraer todos los componentes del gabinete, lo primero que yo realizo es la limpieza de los ventiladores, luego retiro el polvo que acumula la fuente de poder en las entradas de aire, y prosigo por limpiar la tarjeta madre "ojo" sin retirar el procesador en caso de que sea Intel, ya que si limpias sin el procesador puedes dañar, romper o doblar algún pin que haga contacto con el procesador y luego tu computador no prendera y no es necesario retirarlo, luego de tenerla limpia asegúrate de retirar la pasta térmica del procesador con el trapo de microfibra, y en caso de que este muy dura y seca puedes usar un poco de alcohol isopropilico.

Para la Memoria RAM, siempre recomiendo limpiar todos sus pines con un borrador, ya que le eliminas las impurezas o películas de sucio que se pueda acumular y evita que haga buen contacto con la tarjeta madre, el cepillo de dientes lo utilizaras para limpiar las ranuras de la tarjeta también, puesto que dentro de ellas también se acumula mucho polvo.

El gabinete o case, puedes limpiarlos por igual, también puedes lavarlos con mucha agua, jabón y desengrasante, si es de tu gusto, o simplemente con la brocha retiras todo el polvo y sacudes bien, luego de tener todos los componentes listos puedes empezar a armar todo en el mismo orden que lo quitaste, si te da temor hacerlo y luego no acordarte donde va cada cosa, puedes tomar una fotografía con tu móvil y tenerla de referencia.
