¿Alguna vez se han preguntado, cuál sería el mejor destino turístico para disfrutar con familiares y amigos? Yo me hice esa pregunta hace 6 años, mientras cursaba mis estudios universitarios; era en esos días en los que no había más nada que hacer si no buscar una excusa para escaparte de la rutina, deshacerse de las responsabilidades por unos días, borrar el casete y equilibrar nuestro cuerpo.

Un día, de esos estresantes por las actividades académicas, mis compañeros de clase y yo nos topamos con la solución a nuestros problemas, un póster que indicaba:
CONFERENCIA DE PETROGAS EN LA ISLA DE MARGARITA, HOSPEDAJE EN EL SUN SOL HOTEL, 4 DÍAS Y 3 NOCHES, CON ENTRADA INCLUIDA AL PARQUE ACUÁTICO “PARQUE EL AGUA” DURANTE TODA LA ESTADÍA.

Luego de 2 semanas, emprendimos el viaje. El recorrido empezó en el terminal de ferry de Cumaná, esperando nuestra lancha de la empresa “Gran Cacique Express”, en donde nos deleitamos de unas buenas cervezas frías y un buen desayuno de empanadas con jugo de papelón con limón. Al llegar al puerto de Punta de piedras, ya en el estado Nueva Esparta, decidimos tomar el autobús que nos llevaría rumbo a la ciudad de Porlamar (al sureste de la isla de Margarita), este recorrido fue de unos 24 minutos. Al llegar, tuvimos que tomar otro autobús, que nos llevaría hacia Playa el Agua, lugar en donde se encontraba el hotel, a unos 23 Km de distancia en carretera. Antes de arrancar, pudimos pasear por la Plaza Bolívar, donde justo al frente estaba un restaurante de comida típica venezolana, aquí nos dejamos llevar por el sabor de unas cachapas con queso de mano, exquisitas.

Sin apuro, pero ansiosos, recorrimos la vía hacia nuestro destino; 45 minutos pasaron para poder llegar, más de los esperado, ya que, por suerte, nuestro chofer se había perdido del camino, pero como siempre hay buenos samaritanos en la vía, nos indicaron el camino correcto. Por fin llegamos, encontrándonos con una cálida bienvenida porque ya eran las 12 del mediodía y estaban sirviendo el almuerzo; comida por doquier, podías elegir entre comida mexicana, italiana y venezolana, además de la comida chatarra que no puede faltar como perros caliente o hamburguesas, que se encontraban dispuestos cerca de las piscinas.

Fueron 4 días de relajación total, en donde nos sentíamos más que libres y complacidos. En nuestra aventura pudimos disfrutar de la playa que se encontraba frente al hotel, también bailamos y gozamos en la discoteca ; visitamos Parque el agua, en donde pasamos momentos muy divertidos y algunos llenos de bastante adrenalina, ya que este cuenta con unos toboganes bastante altos que nos dejaban temblando luego de caer al vacío.

En fin, espero poder disfrutar nuevamente de esta gran aventura, cuando culmine todo lo que está pasando en el mundo con respecto al Covid-19. Agradeciendo también que me acompañaran en este Tour por la Isla de Margarita cumpliendo con el reto de @theterminal en su segunda semana.

Have you ever wondered, what would be the best tourist destination to enjoy with family and friends? I asked myself that question 6 years ago, while I was in college; it was in those days when there was nothing else to do but look for an excuse to get away from the routine, get rid of responsibilities for a few days, erase the tape and balance our bodies.

One day, out of the stress of academic activities, my classmates and I came across the solution to our problems, a poster that indicated:
PETROGAS CONFERENCE AT MARGARITA ISLAND, STAY AT SUN SOL HOTEL, 4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS, WITH ENTRANCE FEE INCLUDED TO WATER PARK "WATER PARK" FOR THE ENTIRE STAY.

After two weeks, we set out on the journey. The tour started at the ferry terminal in Cumaná, waiting for our boat from the company "Gran Cacique Express", where we enjoyed a good cold beer and a good breakfast of empanadas with papelón juice and lemon. When we arrived at the port of Punta de Piedras, already in the state of Nueva Esparta, we decided to take the bus that would take us to the city of Porlamar (southeast of Margarita Island), this journey took about 24 minutes. Upon arrival, we had to take another bus, which would take us to Playa el Agua, where the hotel was located, about 23 km away by road. Before starting, we could walk around the Plaza Bolívar, where right in front of it was a typical Venezuelan food restaurant, here we let ourselves be carried away by the taste of some cachapas with hand cheese, exquisite.

No hurry, but anxious, we drove along the road to our destination; 45 minutes passed to be able to arrive, more than we expected, since, fortunately, our driver had gotten lost on the way, but as there are always good Samaritans on the road, they showed us the right way. Finally we arrived, finding a warm welcome because it was already 12 noon and they were serving lunch; food everywhere, you could choose between Mexican, Italian and Venezuelan food, besides the junk food that can't be missed like hot dogs or hamburgers, which were arranged near the pools.

They were 4 days of total relaxation, where we felt more than free and pleased. In our adventure we could enjoy the beach in front of the hotel, we also danced and enjoyed in the disco; we visited Parque el Agua, where we spent very funny moments and some of them full of adrenaline, since it has some very high slides that left us shaking after falling into the void.

In short, I hope to be able to enjoy this great adventure again, when everything that is happening in the world with respect to the Covid-19 comes to an end. Also thanking you for joining me in this tour of Margarita Island, fulfilling the challenge of @theterminal in its second week.
