Yesterday I went out to a park that is close to home. Los Caobos, one of those places that you appreciate in the middle of the concrete jungle and the confinement in the city.
This month the virus reached us, and the discomfort has been disappearing with my desire to go out and reconnect with that vital pulse, feel like one in a crowd and walk, see people beyond the screens.
Go out with a paper cut ready to stay in the Caracas jungle. I take a photo of it to remember and at the time, when I go through that place again, I smile when I see it again (if it remains) as a secret game that collage offers me.
My daughters also played on the inflatable jumping. They had so much fun! Time passes quickly when I see them enjoying themselves. It fills my soul.
Then to the slides, a high-altitude sport among unstoppable and joyful kidd. I had to be the mom who climbs in the park to help her daughter through a plastic tunnel, the proud mom who watches her daughters go up and down at the playground.
"Rose in the fragrance of heaven, and today poems flow in my blood " It is part of a poem by Jennifer Rahim. It's called "The Mango". One of my favorite fruits, by the way.
In the park there is a wonderful fountain with powerful water jets, the kind that wet those who pass by, but also produce sprinkles with small drops of water that, when the sun passes through, gave that rainbow effect that you see in the photo.
Hope that we will return soon, more calmly, to walk among the trees. I hope this can be a new routine. There was a paper cutout as a good omen, waiting for us to come back and greet with the eyes.

Ayer salí a un parque que está cerca de casa. Se llama Los Caobos, y es de esos lugares que agradeces en medio de la selva de concreto y el confinamiento en la ciudad.
Este mes nos alcanzó el virus, y el malestar ha ido desapareciendo con mis ganas de salir a reconectarme con ese pulso vital, sentirme una en una multitud y caminar, ver a las personas más allá de las pantallas.
Salgo con un recorte de papel dispuesto a quedarse en la selva caraqueña. Le tomo una foto para el recuerdo y al tiempo, cuando vuelvo a pasar por ese sitio, sonrío al volverlo a ver (si es que permanece) como un juego secreto que me ofrece el collage.
Mis hijas también jugaron en el colchón inflable. ¡Se divirtieron tanto!. El tiempo pasa rápido cuando las veo disfrutar. Me llena el alma.
Luego a los toboganes, un deporte de altura entre niñas y niños indetenibles y alegres. Me tocó ser la mamá que se encarama en el parque para ayudar a su hija a atravesar un túnel de plástico, la mamá orgullosa que ve a sus hijas subir y bajar en los juegos del parque.

En el parque hay una fuente maravillosa con chorros de agua potentes, de esos que mojan a los que pasan cerca, pero que también producen asperciones con pequeñas gotas de agua que atravesadas por el sol dieron ese efecto de arcoiris que se ve en la foto.
Espero que volvamos pronto, con más calma, a caminar entre árboles. Espero que esta pueda ser una nueva rutina. Allá quedó un recorte de papel como un buen augurio, esperando que volvamos a pasar y saludar con la mirada.
