Good morning everyone,
This morning I want to share with us my latest creation which is a lovely male slides. It is a while since I made shoes so I decided to pause my other crafts to make some shoes. I've actually made few which I'll be sharing with us subsequently. Last night I was able to complete the creation of this slide because its to be delivered today. I had to work on two slides yesterday and the work was much but thankfully my two little brother's were there to help me as they also used the opportunity to learn from me.
Below I'll be sharing with us the process of making this slide.
MATERIALS USED
- Cardboard
- Nora
- Maco 4
- Leather
- Fibre
- Gum
- Leather glue
- Wett
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to mark out the pattern on the Nora and a reduced pattern for on the maco (which will be the insole). After marking, I cut them out. Next I gummed the maco to the fibre and trimmed the edges out.
- Here I marked the upper strap on the leather, cut it out and gum it on a lining and also trim the edges out.
- I filled the edges of the gummed maco and fibre and I cappednit by gumming a light black leather around it.
- Next I applied gum on the Wett and on the Nora, the middle of the Nora and middle of the capped maco. Then I gummed it on the Nora and gum the wett around the capped maco as seen below.
- After that I removed the maco, trimmed the excess Nora out, gummed the heels with the wet Nora and filled the edges.
- Here I filled the edge of the straps, mark where to last it on the capped Maco.
- Finally I gummed the wet Nora with the capped Maco.
