Today is my mum's birthday so I wanted to make a gift box for her. Guess what, the person that ought to deliver dissapoints and its sallah yesterday so the shop that sells aren't open. Then I thought there are indomie cardboards at home( cus we eat lot of noodles), so why not make one. For the fancy paper, I used leather. For the lining I used black suade material am guess what, it turned out well as you cam see in the picture.
The materials I used were paper tape, ribbon, cardboard, suade material, flowery leather and design Scissors. I could not flow the normal folding of how gift box is being made, I had to follow the initial folding of the box and thankfully it was the size I need. For the sides I added little extra to the sides.
Below are pictures I took while making it and the box was just filled with love as my siblings and friend helped out. After creating the box, we made tiny curly ribbons inside to make it look lovely.
- I wrapped the suade inside and I wrapped the leather outside.
- Next I glue the sides together using a strong super glue.
- For the cover, I used fibre. The cardboard got exhausted so I used it. The method I used was the normal method of creating the box. I added 0.5 inches to the measurements to allow the cover to flow in well.
- I gumed Suade inside, joined the sides with paper tape and I gum the leather outside.
- Finally we decorated it's inside, I out flowery ribbons on it and Gift package set.
