Of course, you are an adventurer and you are running from adventure to adventure, but we can think of this class as the task you take part in these adventures. If you have chosen a magic class, you will support the wars with magic, if you are a warrior, you will use a sword :))

There are 47 races available in D&D Beyond, 9 of which are basic and more common. If your DM approves, you have a choice of 47 races. Your race is about how your character will look. Are you an elf, a dwarf, or a dragornborn? All of them also add different features to your character. For example, if you're Tiefling you have great horns :))

After choosing a class and race, it is necessary to find a suitable background. Where was your character until now, what did he do, did he have a family or siblings? Great histories can be written. As you write, the character develops and grows.
Then you prepare a character sheet for yourself with your chosen class, race, and background. You can easily see what you can and cannot do while playing the game on your character sheet. It is also very practical to prepare it in D&D Beyond, but you can prepare it very easily with paper and pencil. The sample template is usually as follows :))

The game has some general rules and these rules are sometimes updated, a new book is written, some details and minor changes are made in the game systems if needed. Generally, it makes more sense to use the latest version.

Another item is the dice. It is played with 7 types of dice. If you look carefully at the image, it is obvious that each dice is different. So why are there so many dice? Because according to the rules of the game, you are expected to roll different dice in different situations. But don't let this seem too complicated. As you play, it becomes more practical, since you know the rules, you roll the dice you need to use and continue, so it gets quite easy over time.

These dice are required for the DC, difficulty level in the game. To put it very simply, let's say in the game there is a door in front of you and the door is locked, you have many ways to open it, but you chose to break it. That's when the dungeon master looks at the DC of that door and asks you to roll a dice, you can sometimes add other points to this dice you throw, depending on the abilities of the character you play. If the total number you find is sufficient for the opening DC of the door, the door will open, but if you scored too low, unfortunately, the door will not open and you have to try something else, for example, you can cast a fireball spell on the door 😄 if you are far enough away 😉.

The game can consist of one DM and many players. I think 3-6 players are enough. It is also good to prepare maps while playing at the table, but it can also be played from the mind. The rest is up to your imagination...
