Hello World, Hello Hivers!
Did you still remember me? This is your future pastry queen @jamminn back again for another blog. It was a very long week since I didn’t post because I got busy and got tired always since I started my On The Job Training. I will try my very best to post atleast one post each week but in this blog let me share with you all what I will do in the establishment.
At the very first day we conduct an quick orientation together with the Human Resource Manager. He showed us the entire establishment from entrance and also the entire facilities that the hotel offered.
After the orientation we went to our designated department and started our training. I assigned at the back office where I am the intern of Sales Department. I managed on doing the function contract as well as the BEO means Banquet Event Order and route to each department.
When there’s an function event, I was the one who assisted the event where we need to prepare the desired snacks of the guest and attending to their needs. It was so exhausting carrying a heavy number of plates and utensils needed for their snacks.
When there’s no function event, I will be rotating and assisting at the food and beverage department where we need to dished out all the plates after a guests used it and also taking and serving orders of the walk in guests.
It was so overwhelming doing all those stuff because I didn’t thought that all we learned at our school was only a basic and not an inch closed to the actual job where we encountered on our On The Job Training.
As for our 1 month here in the establishment we feel a lot of emotions such us struggles, pressure, failures and even getting sick and stressed due to heavy workload that we encountered in the establishment. We over low our expectations in our industry that we thought it’s easy but it’s the reversion of the true experience. That’s all for today hivers, I hope you will continue on supporting my blogs. ARIGATHANKS HIVERS!
