I did not take pictures of the inn. After we finished bathing, we visited another restaurant in Takengon town for dinner.
welcome to Gegarang restaurant. This restaurant is quite famous in Takengon city. My friends said, this restaurant has Takengon city specialties and the menus in this restaurant are very good. Some of my friends have visited this restaurant, because my friends often tour around Aceh by motorbike. From a distance, this place is really very beautiful and luxurious. Don't forget to always wash your hands, wear a mask and keep your distance to break the chain of the Covid virus.
This restaurant is filled with fish ponds at the bottom. Almost all places to eat in this restaurant are fish ponds. There are so many types of fish in this fish pond. One of them is like Koi fish, this fish becomes very good when in the pond. Me and other friends can feed the koi fish in this fish pond. This place is really very nice and everything is neatly arranged. Not a few people who visit for lunch or dinner at this place. Now we are looking for a comfortable seat and immediately asked one of the waiters for a menu book.
Well, the photo above is the menu of the foods provided at this restaurant. All kinds of processed fish are available in this restaurant. One of them like tilapia tauco, grilled and teriyaki sauce. Besides tilapia, they also provide gourami, lobster and squid. The price is also quite varied depending on the type of processing you want. This restaurant also provides omlet, dim sum with various variants and also spaghetti. In my opinion, this restaurant has it all. I really really recommend it for those of you who are on vacation to Takengon.
The next menu is, a variety of processed vegetables that are very tasty. One of them is broccoli, kale, capcay, bean sprouts and other vegetables. At the bottom there is processed fried rice with various variants of seafood. Well, because we were 6 people, so we chose only a few menus. One of them is Takengon's specialty dishes, namely Tamarind Zing tilapia, black pepper squid, capcay vegetables. For the drink menu, this restaurant provides all kinds of fruit juices and other general drinks. After finished ordering, we had to wait about 30 minutes. The clock shows Maghrib and I have to pray Maghrib prayer.
After I prayed Maghrib, all the food menus had arrived at the table. All of them voraciously took the vegetables and fish that had been provided. I took some pictures first before eating. Are all these foods delicious? Of course yes, everything is really very tasty. Starting from tilapia acid zin, black pepper squid and vegetables. One thing that I find a little strange, the orange juice in this restaurant is very different and my taste buds don't really match the taste of the orange juice in this place. Let's take a close look at some of the menus we ordered.
The first I will review the taste of black pepper squid. There are some pieces of cucumber and tomato. They use banana leaves as a base, in my opinion very good. The taste of the black pepper squid is really very good and the texture of the squid is also not too tough. Black pepper mixed with squid is a little sweeter and not too spicy. I don't understand whether the Takengon people like food with a higher level of sweetness. Overall, I highly recommend this black pepper squid for those of you who visit this restaurant.
Now I'm heading to the specialty of Takengon city, namely Asam Zing tilapia. I do not know the origin of the name and what spices they use. One of my friends asked about this menu and one of the cashier said Asam zing is a specialty of Takengon city. See 1 tilapia that has been mixed with zing acid. The taste is really very delicious and sweet, the cooked tilapia is very tender and the fish spines are not so much. It turns out that sour zing is the most recommended menu at this restaurant. I will never forget this dish.
The last one is vegetable capcai with a mixture of various other vegetables. They also provide some small prawns. This vegetable is very common and I often encounter it in Langsa city restaurants. Overall, all the food in this restaurant is very good and I will give a 10/10 rating for this restaurant.
