Hello dear friends, pleasure to greet you, today taking up again this great experience of sharing my songs with you, as you know I am a teenager from Venezuela and I am in my first year of high school, in the past days in my school I was given the task of investigating some personality that had had some relationship with my community, I found it very difficult, because I live in a busy avenue in the city of Maracay, well I had to investigate with some neighbours and I could locate that the Venezuelan composer "Luis Laguna" lived in the community of Santa Ana de Maracay, very impressed and excited I continued investigating about this personality.
Hola amigos queridos amigos, gusto en saludarlos, hoy retomando esta gran experiencia de compartir mis temas con ustedes, como saben soy un adolescente de Venezuela y estoy cursando primer año de bachillerato, en días pasado en mi colegio me dieron la tarea de investigar algún personalidad que hubiera tenido alguna relación con mi comunidad, yo eso le vi mega difícil, dado a que vivo en una Avenida bien transitada en la Ciudad de Maracay, bueno me toco indagar con algunos vecinos y pude ubicar que el Compositor Venezolano “Luis Laguna” vivió en la Comunidad de Santa Ana de Maracay muy impresionado y emocionado seguí investigando a cerca de esta personalidad.
The composer Luis Laguna was born on May 1, 1926, in the city of Guácara in the state of Carabobo, his family moved to Maracay where he grew up and was educated in the world of music and had a great talent in guitar and composition. Some of his songs are dedicated to his wife Doña Margarita Meza de Laguna, both were inhabitants of my community of Santa Ana, she unfortunately died on March 13, 2022 in Maracay, Laguna died the same in Maracay on August 1, 1984 at the age of 54, suffering from diabetes, today they are together in the kingdom of heaven.
El Compositor Luis Laguna nació el 1 de mayo de en 1926, en la ciudad de Guácara del Estado Carabobo, su familia se muda a Maracay donde crece y se educa en el mundo de la musica y tuvo un gran talento en la guitarra y en la composición. Algunas de sus canciones se las dedico a su esposa Doña Margarita Meza de Laguna ambos eran habitantes de mi comunidad de Santa Ana ella infortunadamente murió este 13 de marzo del 2022 aquí en Maracay, tuvieron dos hijos donde el menor Carlos siguió los pasos de la musica gran interprete del cuatro, su padre Laguna murió igual en Maracay el 01 de agosto de 1984 a los 54 años padecía de diabetes hoy están juntos en el reino de los cielos.
In Maracay his name is an insignia in the community of Santa Ana there is an area that was created as a park which bears his name, "Parque Luis Laguna". At present there is a CDI Medical Unit and a Basketball Court, its facilities are not in good condition, we are waiting for its recovery, I think a guitar school could be created where the name of this remarkable figure of Venezuela could be enhanced. En Maracay su nombre es insignia en la comunidad de Santa Ana hay un área que fue creado como parque el cual lleva su nombre, “Parque Luis Laguna” en la actualidad funciona una Unidad Medica CDI y una Cancha de Básquet, sus instalaciones no están en buen estado, se está la espera de su recuperación, creo se podría crear una escuela de guitarra donde se realce el nombre de este figura notable de Venezuela. De igual forma existió una Coral Municipal que llevaba su nombre y es patrimonio cultural del Municipio Girardot del Estado Aragua.

Fue autodidacta, y gran guitarrista además de compositor, autor de ritmos populares como: Al poeta, Criollísima, Golosinas criollas, El saltarín, El tramao, Mi merengue, Nathalia, Serenata, S.O.S. y Un heladero con clase, entre otros, sus obras fueron interpretados por Grandes Venezolanos como: Simón Díaz, Jesús Sevillano, Aldemaro Romero, Ilan Chester popularizó Criollísima, les cuento que a mi mama le encanta y que bueno saber que el compositor es de mi comunidad, igual forma logro formar un grupo llamado Venezuela 4, donde compartía con su hijo Carlos.
Although I don't play musical instruments, I think it is very important to know the culture of my country as well as the personalities and even more so if they are part of the community.
Aunque no toco instrumentos musicales, creo que es muy importante conocer la cultura de mi país así como de las personalidades y más aun si son parte de la comunidad.
