Your Top 3 Contest - Vote For Your Top 3 Lockdown Essentials!
This month's topic was: Top 3 Essentials During a Lockdown
My Nominations were:
- Food/water
- Cleaning Supplies
- Thermometer
Earlier this month, I participated in the monthly Top 3 Contest. This contest provides entrants an opportunity to name their top 3 of any given topic. For April, the subject was your top 3 essential items you would need during a lockdown due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
I didn't hesitate to participate this month because I wanted to inform everyone what I thought was essential. I live on the Gulf Coast of Texas. During the Hurricane season, we experience each year from June 1 through November 30 the potential for Category 1 - 5 hurricanes, devastating tornadoes, and massive flooding. I have lived through more than one of these events during my lifetime.
So I decided I'd definitely enter this month's contest to lend my knowledge of what I've accumulated over the years in dealing with these type of disasters.
What we're facing now with this health crisis is more deadlier than anything I've dealt with. Although I've not experienced the loss of income because I'm in retirement, I have family members and friends who are in this precarious situation. I'm happy to report that I've been able to not only assist them financially, but also impart my knowledge on preparedness I learned during other disasters.
If you haven't read my rationale for choosing my Top 3 essentials during a lock down, here's the link to my blog again:
My Top 3 MUST HAVE Lockdown Essentials
Each month after participating in the Top 3, all entrants' choices are placed in a dpoll so everyone can vote to choose their top choices in the category provided.
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 CHOICES?
If you'd like to participate in the poll and register your choices, just visit::
dPoll here to vote.
I've already voted.
How about you?
Thanks for taking the time to participate. After voting on your choices, you can also visit the contest post and see other votes' choices. Some provide reasons why they voted a particular way. It's a good experience to engage with others on different topics.

@flaxz initiative @iamalivechallenge: (Official Stay at Home Order [day 17]; my April 30-Challenge is one more day closer to realizing I can actually omit an item from my daily routine I'd come to depend on that wasn't a necessity. I chose paper towels as my challenge. I'm glad I did. Enlightened me to what's important in my life. I'm feeling better this latter part of the month from my sinus infection; and blogging this day)
