REDFISH RALLY 500 FREEWRITE CHALLENGE - Week 3: MARCH 15, 2020

I've experienced many memorable days in my life. But I wanted to focus on the highlights of each phase I traveled through.

Day One: Starting Life
The first of my best three days can be described as nothing short of awesome. This first day can actually be grouped into a separate category of three events: the days my children were born; their first days of kindergarten; and their last days of school. But the last child, I must admit, brought an especially joyous smile to my face. The reason was because I was finished. That was it for me. Oh happy day. Now, only 22 years to go before the last child graduated from college.

It was a long haul. It didn't seem like that day would every come. Sometimes I faltered. Sometimes I stumbled. But I made it. I was one happy mom!

Day Two: Retirement Anyone!
The second best day of my life was when I retired from my career. After working 35 years in corporate America, I was ever so ready to retire. I learned the importance of team work, organization, and planning. A demanding job where my stress level was high, I developed HBP. That was one of the reasons I chose to retire sooner than I had planned. But I'm managing well now, and trying to keep healthy.

Retirement suits me well. I don't have to rush to and from appointments. I don't have to wait until the weekend to take care of items. I'm free to go and do things every day of the week at any time of day. It has been a wonderful experience for me.

Day Three: Travel Bound
My third most memorable day was the day I flew to the RV dealership to pick up my RV. That was the beginning of my dream life after retirement. It's been a consuming task getting everything we need in place to begin our travels. Our RV is really a second home. You have to take care of it, and it will take care of you.
We have traveled several destinations. But I have a few medical issues that keep me from enjoying it fully more often. I plan to take advantage of my RV when warm weather permits and it's safe to do so in this environment of traveling and visiting the RV resorts.

I hope to experience many more memorable events in my life.
