"Doing it the RIGHT Way" — How Things Tend to Take Longer Than Expected by @denmarkguy
I am somewhat a perfectionist. I like to see things done right and properly. Imagine how I felt when I read my thoughts reflected on this post. It gave me a deep sense of understanding that no matter how much we strive for perfection, or "behave like a bunch of spoiled brats waiting for Santa Claus" (not my words, lol), and want things done quickly, "it takes time to do things right" according to this author. I agree a hundred percent. This principle should be applied to every aspect of our lives.
A Witness Account of the Years Leading up to the Russian Revolution, The Red Reign: The True Story of an Adventurous Year in Russia by @agmoore
This enlightening, historic piece made me understand more about Russian history, the revolution 1905 and the "bloody Sunday". I had heard of these for a while but did not know the events that led to them. I read it all in this blog! I learned that the loyalists in Russia then were in much misery and starvation. The people came together to protest outside the Tsar's palace and lives were lost on that day. The soldiers opened fire on them and killed a lot of protesters. This situation is very similar to the End SARS bloody incident that took place in Nigeria last year.
This blog is a review of the first hand account from Kellogg Durland's book, The Red Reign.
Definitely Cebu #23: Temple of Leah - "The Taj Mahal of Cebu" by @ybanezkim
I enjoyed reading this article because I love to travel and visit tourist attractions centers. I thought the Temple of Leah is a medieval structure but I was wrong. I learned its a recent one and construction started in 2012. It is still ongoing. The temple is a shrine built as a "symbol of love and devotion of Teodorico Adaina to his wife Leah". I would definitely love to visit this place someday.
Brave Browser Aquires Tailcat To Launch Privacy Focused Search Engine by @melbourneswest
I was attracted to this post because I use Brave browser mostly. I was glad to learn that the company behind Brave browser has acquired Tailcat. This means searches carried out on Brave engine will not track users IP and priority will be given to online privacy. Isn't that interesting? All Brave users should check this out.
About Greed and Plagiarism on Hive by @anggreklestari76
This blog is a reminder of what most if not all Hivers know to avoid - plagiarism but some still end up doing it anyway. I learned that good credibility is wasted when a user engages in plagiarism and is caught. This is important especially when it comes to appreciating the work of the curators and communities on Hive. Quality, original contents should be the watchword on Hive.
These are some of my favorite posts for this week. Thank you for taking the time to read through. I invite @lebey1 and @soyalex to participate.
