Hive is a place that is filled with Opportunities and It's always thrilling to walk into different communities in this platform but it can also ask for a pound of flesh especially when you run out of Resource Credit (RC) while you are still struggling to set up a DP on your profile.

Loll... My bet is that you are already giggling while having a flashback of what you experienced within the first few hours of joining hive. That's exactly what l also faced after signing up to this platform on 31st December, 2020. I had alot of questions to ask and l had series of things that confused me but l calmly focused on reading some posts to know the benchmark for quality posts here. That was how l crossed path with a post titled, "NEWBIES INITIATIVE - JANUARY BATCH"
This initiative is a monthly project that is hosted by @starstrings01 with the main target of providing guidance and supporting newbies that are ready to work hard towards learning the ropes of Hive and also growing as content creators.
It's one of a kind and it's exactly the type of opportunity that can be enjoyed by newbies. For the benefit of those that are still wondering the qualifications for being a newbie, l will leave this quote by @starstrings01;
NOTE: Those who I categorize as newbies are those with reputation lesser than 60 and HP lower than 500.
In my case;
My Reputation = 44
My HP level = 0 🤦 so, l'm working with the HP that was delegated to me by @shadowspub two days ago.

Why Do I Want To Join This Initiative?
Anyone that was able to check the link l embedded above must have already seen enough reason that would make them to opt into this initiative. Some of these are;
Exposure to people that are ready to answer your questions at all time and enlighten you on the best way to work as a hiver.
There are also some mouth watering rewards that the beneficiaries of this initiative will get if they work with the right instructions.
In my case, l see this as an opportunity for me to focus on understanding the platform so that l can shake off the shivers of being a rookie and subsequently start working as a pro.
This is me applying to be a part of the initiative but l already feel like a beneficiary of it. I have learned alot from them within these few days and l hope to learn more on the long run.
