Today, I will explain "step by step", how to prepare an exquisite "bread pudding with almond essence and liqueur".
The magic of this recipe lies in its wonderful "soft and creamy" consistency. What I enjoy the most about this succulent dessert is the wonderful contrast we achieve by combining the almond essence with the touch of liqueur... Hoy, les explicaré "paso a paso" como preparar un exquisito "budín de pan con esencia de almendras y licor".
La magia de ésta receta la encontramos en su maravillosa consistencia "suave y cremosa". Lo que más disfruto de éste suculento postre es el maravilloso contraste que logramos al combinar la esencia de almendras con el toque de licor... Espero que se animen a elaborar ésta deliciosa receta y la disfruten tanto como yo!

- Agregaremos a un bowl: 1 taza de leche evaporada, 1 cucharada de vainilla y 1/2 cucharadita de esencia de almendras (mezclamos).

- In this step, we will add the "dry" liquor, you can use "rum or whiskey". The intensity is left to your choice, I used 4 tablespoons of rum.
- En éste paso, agregaremos el licor "seco", puede utilizar "ron o whisky". La intensidad se las dejo a su elección, yo utilicé 4 cucharadas de ron.
- In another bowl, we will have the bread cut into "small" pieces, add the milk, mix until the bread is well integrated, with the help of a fork we will exert pressure to crumble the bread a little. Cover and let stand for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- En otro bowl, tendremos el pan cortado en trozos "pequeñitos", añadimos la leche, mezclamos hasta que el pan se integre bien, con ayuda de un tenedor ejerceremos presión para desmenuzar un poco el pan. Tapamos y dejamos reposar durante 1 hora en la nevera.

En un envase apropiado añadimos 5 cucharadas colmadas de azúcar, calentamos a fuego "medio" hasta que vaya adquiriendo un hermoso color. Mientras más "oscuro" el caramelo, el sabor será más "amargo", particularmente me gusta disfrutar del sabor "delicado y suave" del caramelo.
- For baking, we can cook in a bain-marie for 1 hour or in the oven at 180º for 45 minutes.
- Para su cocción podemos cocinar en baño de María durante 1 hora o en el horno a 180º durante 45 minutos.
