Today I want to share with you a little adventure that I lived very early in the morning, when I decided to create a new display cushion for my bracelets. As an entrepreneur with a passion for jewelry, I am always looking for ways to present my pieces in a unique and elegant way. This time, I felt I needed something different to show my bracelets to some interested people who asked me for pictures.
Hoy quiero compartirles una pequeña aventura que viví muy temprano en la mañana, cuando decidí crear un nuevo cojín exhibidor para mis pulseras. Como emprendedora apasionada por la bisutería, siempre busco maneras de presentar mis piezas de forma única y elegante. Esta vez, sentí que necesitaba algo diferente para mostrar mis pulseras a unas personas interesadas que me pidieron imágenes.
From Tubular to Sophisticated A Necessary Change some time ago I had made a tube-shaped display. It was practical, yes, but I felt it didn't bring out the beauty of each bracelet as well as I would like. So this time I opted to design a flat, rectangular display cushion, which allows me to better appreciate the details and delicacy of each piece. Best of all, I didn't have to go out and buy materials because I had everything at home: scissors, soft stuffing, fabric and thread. This reminded me how valuable it is to take advantage of what we have on hand and be creative with it.
De lo Tubular a lo Sofisticado Un Cambio necesario hace algún tiempo había confeccionado un exhibidor en forma de tubo. Era práctico, sí, pero sentía que no lograba resaltar la belleza de cada pulsera como me gustaría. Por eso, esta vez opté por diseñar un cojín exhibidor plano y rectangular, que permite apreciar mejor los detalles y la delicadeza de cada pieza. Lo mejor de todo fue que no tuve que salir a comprar materiales porque contaba con todo en casa: tijeras, relleno suave, tela y hilo. Esto me recordó lo valioso que es aprovechar lo que tenemos a mano y ser creativos con ello.
The Process of Getting Down to Work With great enthusiasm I began to cut the fabric, carefully measuring the ideal size so that the bracelets would look good without bunching up. Then I stuffed the cushion with the soft material to give it body and prevent it from deforming. With firm but delicate stitches I closed the cushion and left it ready to wear. As I worked, I felt each detail adding up to create something special. It was not just a display, but a small piece of work that helped to proudly show off my craftsmanship.
El Proceso de ponerme Manos a la Obra Con mucha ilusión comencé a cortar la tela, medí cuidadosamente el tamaño ideal para que las pulseras se lucieran bien sin amontonarse. Luego rellené el cojín con el material suave para darle cuerpo y evitar que se deformara. Con puntadas firmes pero delicadas cerré el cojín y lo dejé listo para usar. Mientras trabajaba sentía cómo cada detalle se iba sumando para crear algo especial. No solo era un exhibidor, sino una pequeña obra que ayudaba a mostrar con orgullo mi trabajo artesanal.
After seeing the results, I am thinking of buying more pretty fabrics and fillers to make several similar displays. I think this type of presentation is not only more elegant, but also conveys the care and dedication behind each bracelet. To me, each piece deserves to be displayed with respect and style, because I know how much effort goes behind each design. They allow me to show my human side, my creativity and my dedication as an artisan entrepreneur.
Después de ver los resultados, estoy pensando en comprar más telas bonitas y rellenos para hacer varios exhibidores similares. Creo que este tipo de presentación no solo es más elegante, sino que también transmite el cuidado y dedicación detrás de cada pulsera. Para mí, cada pieza merece ser mostrada con respeto y estilo, porque sé cuánto esfuerzo hay detrás de cada diseño. Permiten mostrar mi lado humano, mi creatividad y mi dedicación como emprendedora artesanal.
