A trip to history; Tomb of Amin al-Din Gabriel

One of the sights worth visiting during a trip to Ardabil is the tomb of Sheikh Kalkhoran.
This tomb is located in one of the villages of Ardabil and is visited by lovers of architecture and #history.
The tomb of Sheikh Gabriel Kalkhoran is one of the magnificent buildings in terms of cultural-religious identity and architectural art of Ardabil.
The tomb of Amin al-Din Gabriel has impressive architecture and tiling, plastering, and spectacular and artistic paintings.
This tomb used to be outside the city and in the village of Kalkhoran, but now it is attached to the city.

The tomb of Sheikh Gabriel dates back to 981 AD.
This building has a courtyard, porch, room and pavilion.
You will find the tomb in a large courtyard known as the Sheikh Garden.
Here is the tomb of "Sayyid Amin al-Din Gabriel, father of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ishaq", the ancestor of the Safavid kings.
There are several other tombs and tombs in the Sheikh's garden.
The courtyard is rectangular, has an entrance and an exit, and the tomb of Sheikh Kalkhoran is located in the middle of it.

The exterior of the tomb is made of bricks and is very spectacular.
The roof of the building is flat and has a beautiful brick dome in the middle.
One of the attractions of this building is the inlaid carving between the porch and the tomb, which is very artistically done.
There are also elaborate carvings on the wooden entrance door, and poems can be seen prominently on it.
When you enter the tomb, you will see a wooden box in the middle.
All around those walls are tiled.
The tiles are turquoise blue and dark blue and gold can be seen between them.
Above the tiles, there are inscriptions in Kufic script that are artistic and spectacular.

In part of this garden, there is a small cemetery with strange tombstones

The walls of the tomb are composed of two hollow walls, which are considered a masterpiece in their own right.
Raise your head and see the beautiful dome of the tomb, whose Mogharnas are among the prominent architectural arts of the Safavid period.
Although the outer covering of the dome has not been taken care of and has been severely damaged by moisture, its beautiful inner covering is still spectacular.
