I am sorry for my absence during all these months, I have simply dedicated myself to be happy hahaha and to try to put in order certain sides of my life. Several things have happened and the truth I can say with all certainty that in life everything happens, everything changes and absolutely everything gets better. Today I want to share with you a summary of my small achievements these months.
¡Me compré mis primeros uniformes médicos!
I bought my first scrubs!
Desde que comencé con la universidad había soñado con el momento de usar mi primer uniforme, pensé tantas veces el color que quería, el modelo y como me quedaría, que hoy que es una realidad no puedo creerlo, me hace tan feliz poder decir: finalmente, tengo mis primeros uniformes. ¡Sin contar claro, lo cómodos que son! Me hacen sin lugar a duda la vida más fácil, más sencilla y tal y como lo soñé: ¡me quedan super lindos! 🥺 Fue un proceso tenerlos, puesto que no estaba segura si comprarlos o mandarlos a hacer con una costurera de mi ciudad, pero finalmente me decidí por comprarlos en una tienda de productos médicos ubicada en Caracas, respecto a su precio puedo decir que me pareció bien y tienen una muy buena calidad. Al momento de comprarlos dudé un poco, ya que como les conté yo reprobé una materia importante el semestre pasado y eso me deprimió un poco, sin embargo, decidí sonreírle a la vida y tomar esto como una oportunidad de aprender más sobre microbiología (materia que reprobé.)
Since I started college I had dreamed of wearing my first uniform, I thought so many times about the color I wanted, the model and how it would fit me, that today that it is a reality I can't believe it, it makes me so happy to be able to say: finally, I have my first uniforms, not counting of course, how comfortable they are! They undoubtedly make my life easier, simpler and just as I dreamed: they look super cute on me! 🥺 It was a process to have them, since I was not sure whether to buy them or have them made by a seamstress in my city, but finally I decided to buy them in a medical store located in Caracas, regarding their price I can say that I thought it was good and they have a very good quality. At the moment of buying them I hesitated a little, because as I told you I failed an important subject last semester and that made me a little depressed, however, I decided to smile to life and take this as an opportunity to learn more about microbiology (subject I failed.)
Aprendí que las cosas siempre suceden por algo.
I learned that things always happen for a reason.
Es un conocimiento que todos creemos tener, sin embargo, muchas veces nos toma de sorpresa darnos cuenta de que no somos creyentes realmente de él, comenzando en una búsqueda sin fin de culpables para todas nuestras adversidades, hasta que realmente cuando ya no nos queda otra opción que aceptar podemos darnos cuenta de que estamos mejor ahora a pesar de lo que esto pueda significar para nuestra vida. En mi caso, un atraso académico de prácticamente todo un semestre. Fue un momento demasiado triste para mí y llore tanto que por un momento creí que mis ojos se saldrían de su órbita, gracias a Dios que tuve a mi lado a las personas correctas para apoyarme y al pasar de los días (sobre todo meses después cuando comencé el siguiente semestre) me di cuenta de que las cosas estaban mejor así, que realmente debería aprender y me siento cómoda con mi situación.
It is a knowledge that we all believe we have, however, many times it takes us by surprise to realize that we are not really believers of it, starting in an endless search of culprits for all our adversities, until really when we have no choice but to accept we can realize that we are better off now despite what this may mean for our life. In my case, an academic delay of practically a whole semester. It was a very sad moment for me and I cried so much that for a moment I thought my eyes would pop out of their sockets, thank God I had the right people by my side to support me and as the days went by (especially months later when I started the next semester) I realized that things were better this way, that I should really learn and I feel comfortable with my situation.
Ser demasiado incondicional muchas veces es igual a no estar.
Being too unconditional often equals not being there.
Suena un poco enredado pero ya les explico mejor, no se si ha alguno les ha pasado pero muchas veces cuando demostramos ser indispensables algunas personas simplemente comienzan a ignorar nuestra presencia por el hecho de que dan por sentado que siempre estaremos ahí y no valoran nuestros esfuerzos por ellos, dejan de pensar en las cosas que nos harían felices o en nuestra opinión por más simple que sea, he aprendido que lo mejor en ocasiones de dejar que sientan tu ausencia para que puedan valorar tus acciones. Esta es una de las lecciones que mas me ha costado aceptar porque soy una persona que siempre hacia todo lo que podía (y hasta más) por ayudar a los demás cuando muchas veces estas acciones o esta ayuda no era reciproca en los momentos que más lo necesite. Si, sé que me dirán que no debemos hacer las cosas pensando que los demás harán lo mismo, pero ¿de qué nos sirve mantener un vinculo de esfuerzo unilateral? La respuesta es simple, no sirve de nada. Son personas que no suman a tu vida, solo restan y que en el momento que ya no te necesiten solo te harán de lado o peor aún, en el momento que pongas un límite automáticamente te convertirás en el villano de esa historia. A esas personas lo mejor es decirles Bye y rodearte de personas que realmente te quieran presente en su vida.
I don't know if it has happened to any of you but many times when we prove to be indispensable some people simply begin to ignore our presence because they take for granted that we will always be there and do not value our efforts for them, they stop thinking about the things that would make us happy or our opinion no matter how simple it may be, I have learned that the best thing to do sometimes is to let them feel your absence so they can value your actions. This is one of the lessons that has been hardest for me to accept because I am a person who always did everything I could (and even more) to help others when many times these actions or this help was not reciprocated in the moments when I needed it most. Yes, I know that people will tell me that we should not do things thinking that others will do the same, but what is the point of maintaining a unilateral effort? The answer is simple, it is useless. They are people who do not add to your life, they only subtract and the moment they no longer need you, they will only push you aside or worse, the moment you set a limit you will automatically become the villain of that story. To those people the best thing to do is to say Bye and surround yourself with people who really want you in their lives.
Life gives us lessons, tests and teachings that we often find difficult to understand, but the best part is always to see the positive side and learn little by little from these situations. I say goodbye with love and kisses to come back soon.
