This is a photography post I made on Oct 8 2019. I'm glad how nice these photos turned out. It seems that despite it being colder last year, deciduous trees looked very similar. This year, it has been very warm. Daily maximums between 15 C and 20 C are forecast for the south of the country and the nightly minimums will be above 10 C. I'm still wearing shorts and a t-shirt when I go out. Proper autumn hasn't really begun when it comes to the weather, yet.

Autumn colours are at their best, so I decided to get a bit of fresh air before starting to work. I like the completely calm lake surface. The surface of the largest lake in the city, Vesijärvi, wasn't completely calm, so I skipped taking photographs of it.
This is the public beach I took the first two photos at. The platform in the picture is the same one as in the first picture.
This one belongs to the local residents' association.
Do you like this cropped version better? It's got a simpler composition, which is why I made it.
This is where you can change. There was nobody swimming. The swimming season usually ends by the first week of September. There air temperature was about 3 C this morning. I'm guessing the surface water temperature must have been something like 5 C. The only people I saw was a group of middle school age kids attending a PE class, the teacher and a couple of dog walkers. The kids were carrying orienteering maps when I saw them come from the forest.
This is for carpet washing. That vertical bar is where you hang them to dry. It is customary to let them hang overnight and come to pick them up the next day. Nobody will steal them. I wouldn't leave anything like very expensive hand-made Persians there, though.
