Windows 10 is the system that best manages resources. Some tasks like running games, mining, or opening the Chrome consume a lot of resources. Windows 10, despite its clear advantages over its predecessors, has many unnecessary applications pre-installed by default.

That's why today, we are going to clean the system from all that useless load. If your pc is good and you have a solid state disk (SSD), you recover space. So it is also recommended.

I could spend the afternoon listing reasons to keep your system as basic as possible. But it's better to just show you the end of the process as a fact.

This is a Windows 10 x86 fresh installed where i execute this tasks (runing in a VirtualBox). As you can see it consumes just 1gb ram. Its like heaven. You need this.

There are several methods that apply to different user levels. The "hard" way is not so hard. But there are those who prefer quick methods, or those with a friendly interface.

Lets start with the simplest!

This program is extremely simple, it works wonderfully. Basically you choose the program to remove and it eliminates it from the system.Be careful not to delete any apps you use, such as the calendar (if you use it at all).

My personal recommendation is not to delete the following: Camera, Calculator, One Note, Photos and Voice Recorder. I delete everything else without any doubt. Maybe you can leave the "weather" if you like it

With a very clean interface, this program scans your system. It identifies all pre-installed software in order to remove it. Find applications that the option above does not have, such as removing Cortana or Apps installed from the Windows Store.

First of all you should create a Restore Point in order to prevent any malfunction, not necesary but safety first, so its recomended.

Now its time to start de deleting process, click on "Remove" button locate at the top left.

The following screen apears on the middle of the interface, many options available, ill recomend the complete remove of all software, for that; click on the "Machine" option. B ut you can choose the others in order to maintain apps on other users for example. (in case that you share the computer with other members)

This is the most balanced version between expert and inexperienced user. However, be careful! Remove only superficial apps, paint, phone companion, calendar. Only "known" things. Some are essential for the operation of windows. The system will continue to work. This is a safe process. Maybe you''ll remove multimedia features, or plug-ins that work in the background.

Some times, an app blocked the deletting process because is currently runing. Hit "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" locate the process on the task manager and after selected, hit "Del" or right click and then "End Process" option. Now start again. If you cant (or want) to do that, simply unmark the check box and carry on.

Finally the part that many of us like so much. Here is the version to make with commands in the Windows PowerShell.

First step is to open Poweshell as administrator. Hit the "start" button on the left corner at the botton of the screen (the windows logo) then click "Windows PowerShell (Administrator)"

It will open this, similar to the old and know DOS (or the actually called Command Prompt) but built for intercact with Windows in other ways.

Here just paste the following commands in order to execute them and be aware and read the alerts to know wich apps are failing to remove and solve them (by closing those services in the background for example)
