Today I want to tell you that I finished a project that I thought about days ago and wanted to see the result. I'll tell you what it is about!

En mi ciudad han mantenido la cuarentena radical por el Covid-19 desde hace varias semanas ya que el primer foco se detecto en el estado Zulia, la verdad es que esto ha afectado a todos los comercios, solo se puede salir durante 4 horas diarias y laboran los establecimientos de comida y medicinas, hay otros comercios que se las ingenian para vender. En todos se trata de cumplir los protocolos de seguridad y las empresas han provisto a sus trabajadores con mascarillas, pantallas protectoras o lentes ya que ellos deben estar en contacto con el público.

In my city they have maintained the radical quarantine by Covid-19 for several weeks since the first outbreak was detected in the state of Zulia, the truth is that this has affected all businesses, you can only go out for 4 hours a day and the food and medicine establishments work, there are other businesses that manage to sell. All of them try to comply with safety protocols and the companies have provided their workers with masks, protective screens or glasses since they must be in contact with the public.

Sin embargo he visto como hay personas que deben salir a trabajar a diario para llevar el sustento a su familia y no están totalmente protegidos, escasamente usan mascarillas, lo veo en mi comunidad además de ser personas un poco mayores los cuales son más vulnerables a contraer la enfermedad y por ende a contagiar a más personas, sé que es difícil cumplir con un protocolo completo de seguridad que implica utilizar alcohol, antibacterial, mascarilla, pantallas protectoras (si estarás en contacto con muchas personas) y jabón, ya que adquirir todos estos productos resulta costoso.

However, I have seen how there are people who must go to work every day to support their families and are not fully protected, they hardly use masks, I see this in my community in addition to being a little older people who are more vulnerable to contracting the disease and therefore to infect more people, I know that it is difficult to comply with a complete safety protocol that involves the use of alcohol, antibacterial, mask, protective screens (if you will be in contact with many people) and soap, because buying all these products is expensive.

Pues hoy te muestro un prototipo de pantalla protectora reutilizando botellas de plástico.

So today I show you the first prototype of a protective screen using plastic bottles.

Necesite

• 1 Botella de refresco plástica 2L
• Exacto para cortar
• Tijeras
• Foami
• Grapadora
• Trozo de elástica

You need

• 1 2L plastic soda bottle
• Exactly to cut

• Stapler
• Piece of elastic

Procedimiento

Paso 1
Cortar la botella plástica. Aprovechemos la máxima altura de la botella. Desde donde termina la curva de la parte superior de la botella hasta la parte baja de la base. Quedará un cilindro

Procedure

Step 1
Cut the plastic bottle. Let's take advantage of the maximum height of the bottle. From where the curve of the upper part of the bottle ends to the lower part of the base. There will be one cylinder left

Paso 2
Hacerle un corte al cilindro. Para poder abrir la pieza

Step 2
Cut the cylinder. In order to open the piece

Paso 3
Enrollar en sentido contrario la lámina, para que pueda expandirse un poco y tome la forma

Step 3
Roll the film in the opposite direction, so that it can expand a little and take the shape.

Paso 4
En las esquinas inferiores con ayuda de la tijera realizar un corte redondeado para eliminar las esquinas filosas

Step 4
At the lower corners use the scissors to make a round cut to eliminate sharp corners

Paso 5
Cortar una franja de aprox 3 a 5cm de foami, el cual se le colocara en la parte superior de la pantalla, se fija con ayuda de la grapadora. Por el lado de adentro se le coloca otra franja de foami para que al colocarla en la frente la pantalla salga hacia el frente y no presione la nariz.

Step 5
Cut a strip of approximately 3 to 5cm of foami, which will be placed on top of the screen, and fix it with the help of the stapler. On the inside, another strip of foami is placed so that when it is placed on the forehead, the screen comes out to the front and does not press the nose.

Paso 6
Cortar la elástica, debes medir tu cabeza para que te ajuste la pantalla. Y en las esquinas dentro del foami metes un poco de la elástica y grapas bien para que quede fijo.

Step 6
Cut the elastic, you must measure your head to fit the screen. And at the corners inside the foami you put a little bit of the elastic and staple it well so that it is fixed.

Paso 7
Cortar una tira de foami y la pegas sobre la que grapaste para tapar las grapas y quedé con un mejor acabado. Listo ya puedes utilizarla!

**Step 7.
Cut a strip of foami and glue it over to cover the staples and get a better finish. You can use it now!

Esta prueba la hice con materiales que tenía en casa, en el mercado estas pantallas tienen un costo a partir de $3 en adelante.

I made this test with materials I had at home, in the market these screens have a cost from $3 onwards.

Construiré varias y se las obsequiare a personas de la comunidad que se que a diario salen a trabajar, recordemos que es momento de cuidarnos, si cuido a los demás estoy cuidando a mi familia y a mí.

Estas pantallas al llegar a casa puedes colocarlas en un envase con un poquito de jabón y cloro. Por su material es de rápido secado y puedes utilizarlas casi de inmediato.

These screens can be placed in a container with a little bit of soap and chlorine when you get home. Because of its material, it dries quickly and you can use it almost immediately.

Han sido tantos los cambios que hemos tenido que enfrentar en tan poco tiempo, pero estoy convencida que siempre habrán alternativas para que toodooosss estemos protegidos.

There have been so many changes that we have had to face in such a short time, but I am convinced that there will always be alternatives so that we are all protected.
