Guests were welcomed in style! This leafy archway stood proudly at the entrance, dressed in natural greens and pops of ivory blooms. It made everyone feel like they were stepping into something special—and they were.

Every event we decorate has a story—but this one was something else entirely. It wasn’t just about flowers, lights, and drapes. It was about friendship, sacrifice, and those little chaotic moments that made everything feel more real. This is the story of how La De Moda Couture PH, our humble but passionate team of five, made magic happen for a 3PM wedding far from home—with a two-month-old baby tagging along for the ride.
We started our journey early that morning, bags packed, tools ready, and with excited but sleepy eyes. The venue was hours away from where most of us live, and we knew it would be a long day. Still, there was this excitement in the air that kept us going—like a quiet whisper telling us “This one will be worth it.” One of our team members even brought her two-month-old baby with her. Can you imagine? While most people would’ve stayed home, she showed up strong, ready to work, with her tiny son tucked into a baby carrier. We couldn’t help but laugh as we unloaded materials—diaper bag in one hand, flower stand in the other. It was chaos, but the kind you laugh about for years.
Setting up was no joke. The venue was big and open, and we had a full coordination to handle—from the entrance to the stage, tables, ceiling, and buffet area. Every one of us was multitasking like crazy. Some were on ladders hanging fairy lights, others were arranging florals, and one was rocking a baby to sleep while folding chair covers. Time passed so quickly, and before we knew it, the clock was ticking toward 3PM. The decorations were done, the final touches placed, and the lights glowed softly in the hall—it was breathtaking. We stepped back, looked at our work, and despite the sweat, the exhaustion, and the baby babbling in the background, we smiled. The outcome was truly very giving.
As the ceremony began, we tucked ourselves quietly in one corner of the venue, not wanting to disturb the wedding. We watched the bride and groom from a distance, and our hearts felt full knowing we played a role in creating their perfect backdrop. But our day wasn’t done yet—we had to wait until the end of the celebration to take everything down and clean up. So we waited… and here’s the part that touched us the most.
Even though we were just the staff, not part of the official guest list, the client personally invited us to join the dinner. The food was actually intended for the guests, but the couple and their family insisted we eat too. That simple gesture meant everything to us. It wasn’t about the food—it was about feeling seen, appreciated, and respected for the hard work we put in. We sat at the table with grateful hearts, laughing with our team, filling our plates, and feeling like all the tiredness faded for a while.
By the time we started dismantling everything, it was already getting dark. But no one complained. We worked in silence, then in laughter, and silence again. Just like we always do. Because this is more than just work for us—it’s passion. It’s love. It’s family.
