"Apacuana y Cuaricuriam"
Indudablemente "Apacuana y Cuaricuriam" fue una obra que marcó mi vida para siempre. Rodeaba de pasión, magia, rebelión y una búsqueda insaciable de la paz... Muestra cómo un joven(Cuaricuriam - mi personaje) es rechazado y odiado por todos, e incluso su madre, por creer en un mundo en paz sin tener que recurrir a la violencia; reconociendo el arte y la naturaleza como la salvación del ser humano.
Undoubtedly "Apacuana y Cuaricuriam" was a work that marked my life forever. It was surrounded by passion, magic, rebellion and an insatiable search for peace ... It shows how a young man ( Cuaricuriam - my character) is rejected and hated by everyone, and even his mother, for believing in a peaceful world without having to resort to violence; recognizing art and nature as the salvation of human beings.
Una madre que, por obligación política y social, debe renegar de su único hijo, desterrándolo y negándolo como carne de su carne. La avaricia y maldad de un imperio que es capaz de lo que sea por cumplir con su objetivo. Una sociedad que cree en la posibilidad de hacer algún cambio sólo mediante la violencia, y deja de ver el propósito divino en cada circunstancia. Todo esto y un sin fin de cosas fue lo que aprendí en esta maravillosa obra.
A mother who, out of political and social obligation, must deny her only son, banishing him and denying him as the meat of her flesh. The greed and evil of an empire that is capable of anything to achieve its goal. A society that believes in the possibility of making some change only through violence, and fails to see the divine purpose in every circumstance. All this and an endless number of things was what I learned in this wonderful work.
Escenas de guerra, llanto, amor, desesperación, odio, violación, esoterismo, muerte y bellos momentos de desnudos artísticos, bañan de la mejor manera esta pieza teatral. César Rengifo, su escritor ya fallecido, debe estar orgulloso, rebosante de alegría y dicha, al ver lo que se ha hecho con su trabajo, y lo mucho que a despertado en el corazón de todos los que nos hemos maravillado con esta historia.
Gracias a este personaje pude ganar el premio a mejor actor en el "Primer Festival de Teatro del Oeste" aquí en Caracas. Además de que me abrió las puertas a muchas otros montajes y grupos teatrales, que nutrieron aún más mi vida artística.
La mitad de los personajes que he interpretado en mi vida han sido indígenas, y nunca me hubiese imaginado el orgullo que me daría hoy día que eso haya sido así. En Venezuela poco apreciamos nuestra cultura, prefiriendo cualquier otra antes que esta. Y creo que ya es momento de que nos demos cuenta de lo rica y excitante que es la historia venezolana.
Scenes of war, tears, love, despair, hatred, rape, esotericism, death and beautiful moments of artistic nudes, bathe this theatrical piece in the best way. César Rengifo , its deceased writer, must be proud, overflowing with joy and happiness, to see what has been done with his work, and how much it has awakened in the hearts of all of us who have marveled at this story .
Thanks to this character, I was able to win the best actor award at the "First Western Theater Festival" here in Caracas. In addition to that it opened the doors to many other productions and theater groups, which further nurtured my artistic life.
Half of the characters that I have played in my life have been indigenous, and I would never have imagined the pride that would give me today that this was the case. In Venezuela we do not appreciate our culture, preferring any other before this. And I think it is time for us to realize how rich and exciting Venezuelan history is.
