A person born and bought up in poor family or poor condition have always used to dealt with some amount hardships. The hardships that they face is actually boon to them which make them stronger and more tough. They get habitual to all tough condition and easily adapt themselves according to all changing weather and condition which a richer kids lack. Sanskrit have some great though for them, and have these beautiful lines :
शक्तिं करोति संचारे शीतोष्णे मर्षयत्यपि|
दीपयत्युदरे वह्निं दारिद्र्यं परमौषधम्||

shaktim = strength, energy.
Karoti = does,
Smchaare = transmits, communicates.
Sheetoshne = cold and hot.
Marshayatyapi = marshayati + api.
Marshayati = suffers.
Api = even.
Deepayatyudare = deepayati + udare.
Deepayati = ignites, sets on fire.
Udare = in the stomach.
Daaridryam = poverty.
Paramaushadham = param + aushadham.
Param = absolute, highest.
Aushadham = medicine.
The lines highlighting that "Although poverty causes much hardships, it gives to poor people the strength and energy to bear cold and heat equally, and the fire of hunger in their belly keeps them fit. Really, poverty is a supreme medicine."
The Sanskrit verses is a fine example of censuring in the “guise of praising”. Affluent and rich persons lack in the capacity of bearing cold and hot climate and due to their food habits also suffer from various diseases related to stomach and digestion. Fasting is termed as best medicine for such diseases, which the poor people are doomed to face throughout their life.
