Well we always have wondered how would it be living on an another planet which have similarities like our mother earth. I am a type of person who is very keen to know more about our universe like how this life work how planets work why everything exist well big bang was the reason for it as of many scientists. Do you know we have planets which is more livable and we can expect a life of a human to be upto 1000 years also we will feel like we have superhuman powers for instance we would be jumping from one place to another to upto 100 meters or we could even float on water and i am not joking but recently scientist have found such planets where life is possible and is much better then earth in many aspects.
On 5th october, 2020 Astrobiologist Dirk Schulze started a mission to find out planets which is not a mirror planet of earth but are better then earth in every aspect of life and he did not only found 1 such planet but he found 24 super habitable planet so to find this out with his team he considered to set a criteria which was to determine -
- Age of the host star
- Availability of water
- Size and mass of the planets
- Average temperature of the planets
So this was how they were filtering the planets based on these criteria. Now you tell me what is needed for a planet to be habitable? Water, atmosphere, suitable temperature and land surface area right?
Looking deep into these criteria and how is it important for life existance?
AGE OF THE HOST STAR
Usually when scientists explore exo-stars the main focus is searching for a yellow dwarf star like sun but this time Schulze and his team did not only look for yellow dwarf stars but also orange dwarf stars which are dimmer, cooler and less massive the main reason behind this was the life span of the star mainly most of the yellow dwarf stars have a life span of 10 billion years whereas orange dwarf star have a life expectancy of 30 billion to 50 billion years so this was clear life could evolve 3 times more then earth
AVAILABILITY OF WATER
The first thing to know after considering a planet is to calculate the distance between the planet and its host star so as to know is it in the habitual zone or not also to know what will be the percentage of water on that planet once this is done we would also need to know the consistency of water for which a water sample is needed.

SIZE AND MASS OF THE PLANET
As of researcher the size and mass of the planet could influence the life existence on the planet the concept is simple the larger the size the bigger the land surface area and not just this more the mass more the gravity as well and more gravity means more thicker and more stable atmosphere but there is also one condition the planet should either be 1.5 or 2 times bigger in mass then planet earth so the core of the planet would be much warmer for long time helping the core to be molten and eventually the magnetic field around the planet would be active for longer time hence life might have a chance to evolve.
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF THE PLANET
Scientists mainly focus on planets which have temperature either 5 degree higher or lower then earth because temperature is one thing which would determine if life can evolve or not . Talking about tropical places on earth have such micro organisam which can only exist in such kind of temperature.
