Today 12th march marks my second anniversary on this wonderful platform.
People say that when we don’t realize how fast time is moving that means everything is going fantastic and we are at the right place and moving in the right direction
This morning I got a comment by @hivebuzz sharing my second Hive Birthday. I am very happy to celebrate my second anniversary and I must admit that this journey has been going very well.
My Journey of 2 Years
I come from a non-technical background and had no understanding of blockchain and only a bit about crypto which I got to know through media channels. Now I know much about crypto and blockchain and before joining this community and for this learning credit goes to this lovely community and here I learn something every day.
The last year has been tough for all of us because of the covid pandemic that has affected people across the world. There was a lockdown from the last week of March until the end of June and during this period I had lost my work but Hive helped me a lot to stay busy. I had no work for over six months and I utilized nicely on this platform to enhance my knowledge about blockchain and crypto and also creating various types of content on the platform. during this. I also learned about crypto trading and did my first ever trade last year with one of the Indian exchanges.
The best part about this platform is that here we can learn and earn. I would say arming is not the priority because if we are good at learning then earning money can be done later on however in my case I am more focused on learning. when I look back I feel so happy that my one decision that I had taken two years back was a great one.
I truly believe that "A right decision at right time can change our life" and the same happened with me. 12 march 2019 was indeed the best day of my life when I got my account created. I have been a hardcore Facebook user and spend about 10 years that got me nothing in return.
After joining this platform I have learned a lot about this new age of technology and crypto and I now rarely use Facebook. I prefer to spend my time here on this platform rather than wasting it on Facebook.
Achievements
I am super happy with my achievements in the last 2 years.
This is the snapshot of my balance I had one year back and I had 3227 SP.
This is my current account snapshot taken from hiveblocks and I have 8790 HP as of today. In the last year, I got 5563 HP added and it's all earned. My goal for the second year was to have 7500 Hive power and I glad to share that I have achieved much more than what I planned. I am pretty close to marking the 9000 HP mark soon.
My Contribution to Platform/Community
I am happy with my growth on the platform and I got great support from the community. I have also tried my ways to give it back to the platform. Whatever Hive or Hive Power I earned on this platform is still here and I never withdrawn anything neither have any plan to do so. I have a long-term goal and as a part of it, I Keep on powering up my account and given delegation to some of the good projects on the platform so that it helps them to grow and they keep on doing fantastic work.
I am also trying to bring some of my friends over but because of the current crypto situation in India, most of them are not comfortable joining. I am eagerly waiting for the day when the Indian govt will clear their stand for crypto and come out with some sort of regulation. I am sure that so many Indian users will join once things will be clarified.
Future Plans
I believe in the long term and will be here for so long. I am here to stay on the platform and my journey here is not for a few weeks or few months, instead, it's going to be for many years.
My goal for next anniversary is to have 15000 HP in my account
I believe in the platform, community, technological innovation, and because I have full faith in it so I am going to stay here. Basically, it's a kind of time investment that I have been doing for the last 2 years and will continue to do so for many years. I am doing it for my bright future. I am also hopeful that the future will be bright and we are riding through the right platform in the right direction.
