Hello Guys,
I am good and hope you are doing good and safe.
Its time to share the battle of splinterlands and I always enjoy sharing it. Once again I am drafting the post before the weekend as I have got enough time to work the post so I did not wait for the weekend. In fact, for the first time, I can share the post within one of the challenge announcements.
Happy to share that my last week post for the battle share is highlighted by the team @splinterlands in Weekly Challenge post. A BIG thanks to the amazing team for highlighting my post and I appreciate their efforts. Last week's theme card was Goblin Mech from Neutral Splinters.
Today In this post, I am going to share my battle for the challenge of this week as announced by splinterlands. This week's theme card is SERPENTINE SPY and this card is a rare card from the FIRE team in the untamed edition. I did not have this card so I have purchased the card today.
This is not an expensive card and I am glad that the team selected one of the card which is new for me and I could add in my account. This is one of the fantastic reasons to participate in the challenge because this was I get to know many cards which pretty good and I should have it.
Stats and Ability
Serpentine Spy is a rare card from fire splinter and it costs 3 mana to have in the team. This is a completely new card to me and I never played with the card before and even I haven't noticed it performing in other battles. I might have seen the card in battles but I never notice it however its a pretty nice card to have. In my opinion, this is a kind of card which must be part of battle if mana is less (preferably up to) and it will do its job better.
Serpentines are naturally sneaky, but their highly-trained spies can infiltrate even the most secure bases in the Splinterlands. They wear minimal armor, because they are never caught. Retractable miniature spears are the chosen weapon of the Serpentine Spies; they can be hidden easily and brandished quickly for many uses.
Card Selection and Placement for My Battle
This is my battle snapshot and mana was 26 which is not bad and I could choose a few better cards. I choose 6 cards that are quite good cards including the theme card with 3 mana.
Here are the names of the playing cards-
- Grumpy Dwarf
- Cerberus
- Elven Mystic
- Serpentine Spy
- Enchanted Defender
- Fire Beetle
Grumpy Dwarf
This is a beta edition common card from the neutral monster and for less mana battles its certainly a great option to have. Its attack ability is nice and I prefer to keep it in front and some time in the second place but here putting in front worked well.
Cerberus
This is one of my favourite cards in the fire team that comes from both Alpha and Beta edition and rare ones. Its ability to restore and attack gives more time to battles and leads the game close to the winning side. I kept it on the second slot to get the restore and make damage as well.
Elven Mystic
This card is one of the super cards in terms of graphics and to me it like a robot. My son likes this card's image but on the action side, this is a nice one from neutral elements in untamed edition under the Rare category. This is one of the cards that I prefer to have in all my battles with fire splinter or if I choose fire through dragon as well. This is good for attacks but not good to bear the damage so I always keep it in the middle so that it can play longer.
Serpentine Spy
This is a theme card for this week and knows as Serpentine Spy from the fire element. Its ability is the opportunity that attacks the low mana monster of opponent player this is not good to bear the attack so best to place in the middle for better action.
Enchanted Defender
Its a common card from Neutral Monster in promo edition and its not good for attacks but it can bear attack for much longer and this is the reason I put it on the second last position.
Fire Beetle
The beetle is also one of the good cards in the fire team and it does pretty nice but in this battle, I did not do much and other cards have managed the battle. It costs 3 mana and that not high so certainly a good option to have on low mana battles.
Battle Details
I played the battle with MIONE and this player also had 3 cards the same as mine to play in this battle but my card selection was slightly better and this is what made me won the battle. The opponent player was playing with the fire monster but I had gone through DRAKE OF ARNAK which is a dragon monster and selected fire thereafter. Now let me take you through my battle to show you my strategy and overall gameplay and I hope you will enjoy it.
Here is the direct link to my battle and you can watch how I played the battle with the lovely Serpentine Spy -

I won the battle and got 20 ratings added which took me ahead reach gold league 1 as I need to have 2500 ratings.
I played some more battles and finally made the rating 2501 and unlocked the gold 1 league.
Did my strategy work? will I try differently next time?
My Strategy with this battle went well and the way I wanted to have the win was done. Serpentine Spy is certainly a nice attacker card and it did pretty well than I think. Few cards did not do anything in the battles because of its good attack and its event hid the last attack to make me a winner.
I have played many battles with this card today and I will keep on trying different ways to play the game. E The mana of the battles was not so high but still, I got to choose the best ones possible.
Do you use Serpentine Spy? Why or why not?
This is a new card for me and before today I never played any battles with Serpentine Spy. I did buy today but played many battles which made me familiar with it and I got nice strategies to play with great results of this card. I will be using this card for sure in my future battles with fire elements.
