Since announcing I was powering "down and out" on the Steem blockchain, I have now completed it. Today seems like a good day to Power Up some on the Hive blockchain!

@streetstyle began the PUD (Power-Up Day) "movement" a long time ago and carried it forward, through the creation of the Hive blockchain, to the referenced post above for the HivePUD of May 1st. There has always been a month contest associated with it, to encourage participation.

Simple eligibility rules:

1. Reputation score less than 70 👍 🙂
2. Reputation score greater than 39 👍 🙂
3. Power Up HIVE on 1 July 2020 👍 🙂
4. Post about your HivePUD on 1 July 2020, with the tag #hivepud 👍 🙂
   
   

Here is my Power Up executed a short time ago:

This represents a Hive Power increases of +10%. Not too bad! But ... There is an additional part of #1:

1. More than 100 Hive Power but less than 8,000 Hive Power 👋 ...
   
   

Ohhh well ... I met that requirement, as well, until converting STEEM to HIVE. But, that is okay. This contest is to encourage members of our community to join in doing their small parts to collectively help add value overall to our Hive blockchain.

And also to create a thriving "middle class" on it! 👍

So with that, I have done my small part, along with many of you, to help our Hive blockchain along on its merry way.

Let's all look forward to what will soon be coming in Hard Fork 24! The details sound promising. And who knows, maybe then the long-promised wonders and benefits of SMTs will not be too far behind?
