Hello hivers, an happy Monday to you all! I hope you had a nice weekend full of joy (or full of relaxing moments _).
A new week just started, it's a sunny and warm day and I feel myself in the right mood to work on a new oil on paper in my lab.
Maybe some of you remember 2-3 years ago I started a series of artworks inspired by the wonderful photos of the american photograper Diane Arbus. In time I sold some of them, but I paused to work on that series for months and months to work on different subjects. Since a couple of weeks I feel the need to continue to work on some new artworks inspired by the Arbus' works and so I started the new one you can see here in this content. If you want, you can read more about Diane Arbus here.
This is the actual step of my new painting:

The canvas on the easel in my lab:

The pic I chose to represent in my painting is "Triplets in their bedroom" (1963) and you can see that one in the following pic (I have a wonderful book with many photos of Diane Arbus):

I chose this photo because I was captured by the black of the hair and white of the shirt on that background.
I just started this oil painting on canvas and I need other days to finish it, but I love to work on this kind of tributo to a photograper I love so much.
Stay tuned to se other steps and the final result of tis new piece. _
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
