Después de salir del gimnasio y de comprar algunas cosas que se necesitan en casa, me siento un rato a descansar en la plaza, a veces con la ropa aún mojada del sudor. Dependiendo de la hora es difícil encontrar asiento vacío bajo la sombra y cuando me encuentro puedo pasar entre media hora y 45 minutos respirando y comiendo cualquier snack mientras veo el fluir de las personas, niños, ancianos, trabajadores, todos cruzando la plaza y siguiendo sus caminos.
Rodeada de grandes árboles y de edificios que forman parte de la sociedad, el palacio de gobierno u alcaldía y la iglesia católica está la plaza y en su centro una estatua grande de un prócer de Venezuela, sobre su caballo mostrando su sombrero, las estatuas son arte y como todo arte envían un mensaje, por lo general las estatuas de las plazas son homenajes a personas que han hecho historia y formaron parte importante de la misma, la plaza Sucre no es la excepción debe su nombre al prócer de la independencia Antonio José de Sucre, en la estatua se ve puede ver la causa de su muerte, mírala la bien 🧐, no me crees 😁. El caballo tiene una de sus patas alzadas o en el aire y eso significa que el jinete, en este caso Sucre, murió por heridas sufridas en combate, en este caso fue herido por la espalda a traición, muriendo luego.

After leaving the gym and buying a few things I need for home, I sit down for a while to relax in the square, sometimes with my clothes still wet from sweat. Depending on the time of day, it can be difficult to find an empty seat in the shade, but when I do, I can spend between half an hour and 45 minutes breathing and eating a snack while watching the flow of people, children, elderly people, workers, all crossing the square and going about their business.
Surrounded by large trees and buildings that are part of society, the government palace or city hall and the Catholic church, is the plaza, and in its center is a large statue of a Venezuelan hero on his horse, showing his hat. Statues are art, and like all art, they send a message. In general, the statues in plazas are tributes to people who have made history and were an important part of it. Sucre Square is no exception. It owes its name to the independence hero Antonio José de Sucre. In the statue, you can see the cause of his death. Take a good look at it 🧐. Don't believe me? 😁 The horse has one of its legs raised or in the air, which means that the rider, in this case Sucre, died from wounds suffered in combat.
