The Terminal Redfish Rally Utilizing Tags Extra Challenge organized by @Theterminal is educating ralliers on the proper use of tags and how you can get your blog in the right place, hopefully at the right time, and in the right community.
To fulfil this challenge, I have chosen to talk about the topic PASSION
PASSION
I chose this topic because all that I have achieved was only possible because I was driven by passion. I have earlier shared a poster about how I was driven by passion to achieve a particular goal. In this LINK I discussed my passion to study mechatronics engineering but presently, I will be explaining what I understand about passion and share another passion driven story.

SOURCE
From my understanding, passion is when you have a strong desire to achieve a goal, to willingly sacrifice what you have, could be your time or money or anything. The willingness to try again even at the presence of failure, the willingness to struggle even when the environment is filled with negativity. The willingness to continue even when your progress is slow.
I believe Passion relates to a high self-esteem because you will need to keep on motivating your inner spirit to strive and not to stop until your goal is attained. With a low self-esteem, the thoughts or presence of failure will hold you down from whatever you desire. In the link I shared about my passion to study mechatronics engineering, I failed 3 times and also had frustrating experience but that didn't put me away from getting what I desired.
To build a high self-esteem and a great passion is by at first, LOVING YOURSELF. Reason is if you don't love yourself, what/who else can you love better. You also need to shut out NEGATIVE VIBES; for everything you want to attain in life, at some point there will be a period where people will speak negativity about you and also about what you desire. This brings us to KEEP YOUR GOALS SECRET; not everybody will love to see you great or to see you achieve your goals. Even among friends your goals should be personal, and if you choose to share such goals, make sure it is from someone who has experienced such path or someone who you know that really cares about you, I mean FAMILY
Before I forget, I said I wanted to share another passion driven story. This story is about my passion for being a guitarist. When I was at a younger age, I didn't have many friends neither did I have the connection to the internet, but I was opportune to have a guitar around. During this period I had a cousin who had some ideas in playing guitar which he was able to teach me some basics. The truth is the basics of playing the guitar is not so easy to pass through unless you have genuine love for playing guitar, it is even worse when you don't have a full time mentor to guide you through. I spent most of the time rehearsing the little I knew especially at night, to the extent I had tiny cuts from the strings of the guitar on my soft little hand. I didn't get much theory lessons on the basics of guitar playing but I spent a lot of time drawing the guitar fret board on paper trying to figure what's new about it. Moreover, I was at the age of 10 years, so what's more do you expect from a little kid like me. Though I didn't miss the opportunity of taking my dad's phone when he was less busy, to search the net for a thing or two.

At some point when I tried to play a guitar in public, people made jest of me, and they will say; what am I playing? Some go as far to say playing the guitar is not my calling. During this process, I got hurt by words of people, and as to some point, I felt like dropping the guitar. The truth of the matter is; if you listen to what people say about you, you will end up becoming what they called you. Then all you have to do is to work hard, believe in yourself and prove them wrong. My progress in playing the guitar was really slow, but I was improving and that was what mattered the most. I shut my ears to what people kept saying then I kept playing and also kept rehearsing.
So far you are progressing, no matter how slow you are, keep trying to be better. Always look to the mirror and tell yourself; Yes I can do this no matter what anybody say, I can achieve my goals. Remember to always meet people that have experience on what you are passing through, and remember to shut out negativity.

Today I can't count how many live stages I have played my guitar, I can't count how many students I have taught online and in physical, I can't count how many guitarist meet up I have attended. Everything was possible because I never quitted, because I refused to be moved by the words of others, because I kept repeating my goal to myself in the mirror and kept starting clearly what I wanted. There is saying “IF YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING GREAT, YOU STRUGGLE FOR IT”
