The last stop in Latvia was in Riga.
The Riga Central Market. It was HUGE, and you could buy pretty much anything, all the berries were much cheaper than in Estonia. According to Wikipedia it is Europe's largest market and bazaar. It is one of the most notable structures from 20th century in Latvia and has been included in UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was planned from 1922 and built from 1924 to 1930. Wow.
Cool looking yellow tram.
Buildings being renovated.
Old Town Riga, really nice and old buildings, a bit similar to Tallinn but still quite different.
Light and shadows, some church window.
This looks a bit like Fat Margaret building in Tallinn, but actually is Powder Tower. There's a war museum inside that tower. In Tallinn there's a maritime history museum in a similar looking tower.
Quite wide streets, and a lot more people than everywhere else in Latvia.
The Freedom Monument of Latvia. Really tall. Also a Riga sign, where everyone took photos.
Bicycles and electric scooters were really popular in Riga.
But walking was more popular choice.
Some business men talking.
There were also some skateboarders on the street learning their tricks, nice.
One building had gotten a fresh coat of paint just a moment ago.
A narrow street, looks also a bit like Tallinn.
Part 2 tomorrow.
