Monitor lizards are reptiles in the genus Varanus. Easily found in the swamps and rivers at our place, in the city of Banda Aceh. They live wild in the sewers of the city, scavenge for food from human remains and carcasses, sometimes disturbing residents' settlements because they prey on domestic chickens and others.
