Good afternoon gems community, I want to share with you the cooking experience of my lunch yesterday. Fried chicken with salad and rice, something very easy and simple.
Buenas tardes comunidad de gems, quiero compartir con ustedes la experiencia de cocina de mi almuerzo de ayer. Pollo frito con ensalada y arroz, algo muy fácil y sencillo.
Today I didn't bring a post as well prepared as my previous recipes, I don't bring the exact measurements or pictures of the ingredients because it was something super improvised and simple.
Hoy no traje un post tan bien preparado como mis anteriores recetas, no les traigo las medidas exactas o fotos de los ingredientes por que fue algo súper improvisado y sencillo.
I started this way, we used a whole chicken and chopped it up, separated the thighs, the wings and chopped it up very well. We also make some small cuts to the meat so that it can be fried better, we add a little salt and ground garlic to give it flavor.
Comencé de esta forma, utilizamos un pollo entero y lo picamos en pedazos, separamos los muslos, las alas y picamos muy bien. Ademas le hacemos unos pequeños cortes a la carne para que se pueda freír mejor, le agregamos un poco de sal y ajo molido para darle sabor.
Remember the mixture I prepared the onion rings with?, we'll use that same mixture, here's the post so you can see its preparation.
Recuerdas la mezcla con la que prepare los aros de cebolla?, pues utilizaremos esa misma mezcla, por aquí te dejare el post para que veas su preparación.
We submerge the chicken in the mixture, so that it is very well soaked, because remember that in it there are condiments such as salt, pepper, paprika powder, and an egg.
Sumergimos el pollo en la mezcla, que quede muy bien empapado, pues recuerda que en ella hay condimentos como sal, pimienta, pimentón en polvo, y un huevo.
Then we go through wheat flour, so that there is a thick layer covering the chicken, this will give it a very crunchy touch.
Luego pasamos por harina de trigo, de manera que quede una capa gruesa cubriendo el pollo, esto le dará un toque muy crujiente.
We put it to fry over a low heat so that it does not burn because of the mixture and the flour that we add to it, it is going to brown little by little. After it is completely browned, we remove it from the frying pan and let it rest so that it is free of excess oil.
Lo colocamos a freír a fuego lento de manera que no que se queme por la mezcla y la harina que le agregamos, se va a ir dorando poco a poco. Luego que este totalmente dorado, retiramos del sarten y dejamos reposar para que se libere del exceso de aceite.
After we have prepared the chicken, now a little salad, we wash lettuce with vinegar, then we cut some tomatoes in slices to add them, the same with some onions in slices, a little salt, pepper and we mix everything.
In addition we added a little lemon and oil to give it much more flavor.
Luego que tenemos preparado el pollo, ahora un poco de ensalada, lavamos lechuga con vinagre, luego cortamos algunos tomates en rodajas para agregarlos, lo mismo con algunas cebollas en rodajas, un poco de sal, pimienta y mezclamos todo.
Adicionalmente le agregamos un poco de limón y aceite para darle mucho mas sabor.
I omitted to add the preparation of the rice, because it would be to the taste of each person to prepare it in their own way, for example I prepare it simply with a little salt and grated carrot, with the measure that I have always used a cup of rice and two cups of water.
You can prepare it the way you want, and it's very easy to do.
Omití añadir la preparación del arroz, por que seria del gusto de cada persona prepararlo a su manera, por ejemplo yo lo preparo simplemente con un poco de sal y zanahoria rayada, con la medida que siempre he utilizado una taza de arroz y dos de agua.
Puedes prepararlo como tu gustes, ademas es muy fácil de hacer.
After having everything ready, we simply serve the portions for everyone and enjoy lunch, a crispy chicken accompanied by a nice salad.
Luego de tener todo preparado, simplemente servimos las raciones para todos y a disfrutar de almuerzo, un pollo crujiente acompañado de una rica ensalada.
