Scotch bonnet and tomatoes in a market store
Hello everyone. Welcome to my blog at this hour. I welcome you all to a new week. In my post today I will be talking about one of the major components of our meals. Most people would not have a meal if it doesn't contain pepper. Pepper are unique and the spicy flavor it offers makes it a necessity for more people. Sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.
There are different types and species of pepper in different countries across the globe. Some are called chili pepper, black pepper, ghost pepper, white pepper, jolokia pepper, datil pepper and so on.
One of the hottest type of pepper you can ever see is a scotch bonnet pepper. Scotch bonnet is popularly known as ata rodo in Nigeria and it is a variety of chili pepper. It is widely known for its smoky flavor.
Ata rodo as its popularly called in Nigeria is used in so many meals to give the food a spicy taste. It is advisable to stay away from this ingredient if spicy food is not your thing or better still use a little amount. On the other hand, you can reduce the hotness of this pepper by removing its seeds - the heat is stored in it. Scotch bonnet comes in four colors - red, green, orange, yellow.
Scotch bonnet are used to add flavor and spice to dishes and it is a good ingredient for hot condiments and sauce. They are also used to season fish, meats etc that are used for barbeque.
