Todo comienza con la tela. A veces la persona o el cliente ya tiene claro el color que quiere, aunque en otros casos exploramos juntos opciones hasta encontrar el tono o color perfecto. Una vez tomada la decisión, elijo el material que normalmente es una tela algo cálida, suave, para que se sienta bien al usarlo.

It all starts with the fabric. Sometimes the person or the client is already clear about the color they want, although in other cases we explore options together until we find the perfect tone or color. Once the decision is made, I choose the material I normally use, which is a somewhat warm, soft fabric, so that it feels good to wear.

LUEGO VIENEN LAS MEDIDAS

Está etapa no es solo seleccionar una talla, sino cómo le quedara a la persona, cómo prefiere el ajuste? si quiere manga más larga o un cuerpo holgado? Con eso en mente, selecciono el patrón, pero siempre con espacio para hacer ajustes.

This stage is not just about selecting a size, but how it will fit the person, how do they prefer the fit? do they want longer sleeves or a loose body? With that in mind, I select the pattern, but always with room to make adjustments.

Ya con todas las medidas, marco el patrón en la tela, estás son todas las piezas: el frente, la espalda, las mangas, la capucha, bolsillo y pretina.

With all the measurements, I mark the pattern on the fabric, these are all the pieces: the front, back, sleeves, hood, pocket and waistband.

DESPUÉS CON CUIDADO, RECORTO CADA PIEZA

Esta es una de mis partes favoritas, porque todo queda listo para unirse. Y por fin, es momento de coser, las partes separadas se convierten en una sola prenda. A veces pruebo cómo va quedando, hago pequeños cambios, hasta que todo encaja.

This is one of my favorite parts, because everything is ready to be put together. And finally, it's time to sew, the separate parts become one garment. Sometimes I test the fit, make small changes, until everything fits.

El resultado nunca es solo "un suéter terminado", sino algo hecho a medida, pensado para quien lo usará.

The result is never just "a finished sweater", but something tailor-made, designed for the wearer.
