Entre las consecuencias más destacadas por el abuso infantil físico tenemos: discapacidades físicas y de aprendizaje, muerte prematura, uso de drogas.
Los agentes causantes de abuso físico infantil pueden ser: estrés, familia disfuncionales, alcoholismo, problemas económicos, incomprensión al desarrollo infantil.

• Tiene una actitud desafiante.
• Disminuye su promedio escolar acompañado de inasistencias
• Tiene pensamientos suicidas.
• Presenta lesiones físicas que no quiere explicar.

Si descubrimos algún caso de abuso infantil cercano a nuestro entorno, debemos ayudar a la víctima con mucha inteligencia y precaución primeramente.
Debemos repórtalo a las autoridades para que ellos tomen las medidas legales contra el agresor y así no poner en riesgo la vida del menor.
La victima también debe recibir psicoterapias para ayudarlo a manejar los traumas causados por el trauma. De igual manera debe recibir asistencia de un médico pediatra para que valorice los daños físicos y coloquen tratamiento para el dolor físico si es necesario.
