A body that migrates, is exposed to a series of new questions, regarding its identity, that the one who does not know it is easily carried away by the current, being more vulnerable than the local ones, this body is forced to adapt to the new forms of the social structures in which it lives today.
A new body, with new conflicts and emotions, with uncertainty of tomorrow, with nothing certain, only the will is what moves this body.
More if the individual lives in relation to the living arts, musical, plastic or visual, he has to face the hard reality of being an artist, in a material world in which the essential is not seen until we are sick or really affected by our disconnected and unconscious actions with ourselves, since everything that evolves inwardly harms us and what evolves outwardly advances.
In a new society we find ourselves in a sea of new possibilities in which we can easily lose our north, we leave our dreams aside to "build a future" that is possibly a deception of the mind or idea sold and colonized by the current system in which we live "capitalism". Certainly we do not know what will come, we do not know if it is a tragic situation or even in the worst case death.
A body that migrates is forced to adapt violently or passively to the society to which it is integrated, in my case that traveled through Latin America only from one country to another there are many cultural differences as clear as water, although we look like the same people, we are very different.
But it is true that the human being adapts easily and learns new things if he tries, so I think that what moves to grow in another geographic space is the will.
A body that lives from the contact arts, has to make an anthropological study of where it is in order to sell its ideas and expose its work to this new public, to rethink a more holistic practice of movement that encompasses all the bodies that are presented to it. The first thing is to adapt to the language, in the case of Spanish, phonetics is paramount to make ourselves understood, between the idioms of young people and their practices to define society as a single kimera with different faces, each with its good and bad faces of this place where we are forgotten bodies, that if by chance or bad luck of life we disappear nobody can claim us for being far from home, we live taking care of ourselves even more, if we get sick we have to work, if we get injured we have to face the reality of learning the injury alone in another country.
One of the hardest things that all migrants undoubtedly live through is an emotional phenomenon known as the migrant's sickness, which usually happens between 6 or 12 months of the first year of their arrival in that place. This is a crisis that frequently occurs in those who are very attached to their family, and in addition to this, it comes with the deep missing of the relationship with their culture.
Within this crisis symptoms such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, lack of appetite and even sexual lividity are experienced.
The body becomes potentially depressed and causes the relationship between mind, spirit and body to deteriorate.
We easily get sick and fall into a deep hole that forces us to hit bottom, but at the same time hitting bottom is very necessary to get out of this dark pool that embraces our soul.
Only those who have the strength and the necessary tools to go out with their faces up every day, with energy to see racism and xenophobia with a compassionate look, not to be invaded, with that label that differentiates us from the locals, is perseverance, and that is why I share these words of a beloved teacher, for all the migrants who read me today.
Cuerpo migrante
Un cuerpo que migra, está expuesto a una serie de nuevas preguntas, con respecto a su identidad, que el que la desconozca se deja llevar por la corriente fácilmente, siendo esté más vulnerable que los locales, dicho cuerpo se ve forzado a adaptarse a las nuevas formas de las estructuras sociales en que las hoy habita.
Un cuerpo nuevo, con conflictos y emociones nuevas, con incertidumbre del mañana, sin nada seguro, solo la voluntad es la que mueve a este cuerpo.
Más si el individuo vive en relación a las artes vivas, musicales, plásticas o visuales, le toca afrontar la dura realidad de ser artista, en un mundo material en el que lo esencial no se mira hasta que nos vemos enfermos o realmente afectados por nuestras acciones desconectadas e inconscientes con nosotros mismos, ya que todo lo que evoluciona hacia adentro nos daña y lo que evoluciona hacia afura avanza.
En una nueva sociedad encontramos en un mar de nuevas posibilidades en la podemos perder nuestro norte fácilmente, nuestros sueños los dejamos a un lado por "construir un futuro" que posiblemente sea un engaño de la mente o idea vendida y colonizada, por el sistema actual en el que vivimos "el capitalismo". Ciertamente desconocemos lo que vendrá, no sabemos si es una trágica situación o incluso en el peor de los casos la muerte.
Un cuerpo que migra se ve obligado a adaptarse violenta o pasivamente a la sociedad a la que se integre, en mi caso que viajado por Latinoamérica solamente de un país a otro hay muchísimas diferencias culturales tan claras como el agua, aunque parezcamos un mismo pueblo, somos muy distintos.
Pero es cierto que el ser humano se adapta con facilidad y aprende cosas nuevas si se lo propone, por eso pienso que lo que mueve a crecer en otro espacio geográfico es la voluntad.
Un cuerpo que vive de las artes de contacto, le toca hacer un estudio antropológico de donde se encuentra para poder vender sus ideas y exponer su trabajo a este nuevo público, replantearse una práctica de movimiento más holistica que abarque a todos los cuerpos que se le presenten. Lo primero es adaptarse al idioma, en el caso del habla hispana, la fonética es primordial para darnos entender, entre los modismos de los jóvenes y sus prácticas para si definir la sociedad como una sola kimera con diferentes rostros, cada uno con sus buenas y malas caras de este lugar en el que somos cuerpos olvidados, que si por casualidad o mala suerte de la vida se nos desaparece nadie puede reclamarnos por estar lejos de casa, vivimos cuidandonos aún más, si nos enfermamos nos toca igual trabajar, si nos lesionamos nos toca afrontar la realidad de aprender la lesión solos en otro país.
Una de las cosas más duras que sin duda vivimos todos los migrantes es un fenómeno anímico conocido como el mal del migrante, que normalmente sucede entre los 6 o 12 meses del primer año de su llegada a dicho lugar. Este es una crisis que da con frecuencia a los que son muy apegados a su familia, sumado a ésto, viene con el profundo extrañar de la relación de su cultura.
Dentro de esta crisis se experimentan síntomas como la ansiedad la depresión el insomnio la falta de apetito e incluso el lívido sexual.
El cuerpo se deprime en potencia y hace se que se deteriore la relación entre la mente, el espíritu y el cuerpo.
Fácilmente nos enfermamos y caemos en un agujero profundo que nos obliga a tocar fondo, pero a su vez tocar fondo es muy necesario para salir de dicha piscina oscura que nos abraza el alma.
Solo los que tienen la fuerza y las herramientas necesarias para salir con la cara en alto todos los días, con energía para ver con mirada compasiva el racismo y la xenofobia, para no dejarse invadir, con esa etiqueta que nos diferencia de los locales, es la perseverancia, y por eso comparto estás palabras de una maestra querida, para todos los migrantes que hoy me leen.
