Ask me why I am excited lol. I don’t know if there is any other newbie that is always excited as I have been from day 1.
It feels like just yesterday but this baby is already 2 weeks old on Hive lol.
I am been yearning for this task, yes, our newbie initiative task.
I have already told you a little in one of my posts about the newbie initiative organized by @starsrtrings01 to help every newbie who arrives on this platform and is willing to take up the challenge and grow in the process.
Well, I think we are just four in the number who took the challenge for the January newbie initiative and our first contest task just arrived. This is why I am jumping with excitement.
And guess what we are writing on? Our Goals for January and what we wish to achieve by the end of the month. It feels like the initiator had me in mind when he came up with this topic.
Being a newbie, I have heard so many stories concerning this platform when it comes to newbies. I made a promise to myself that I will never get frustrated nor disheartened or whatsoever. I was ready to face anything and accept everything. This is why no matter how tough or hard it may seem, all I do is to catch fun amidst everything. I just always find a way to be happy when I am here. I love fun as much as I enjoy what I do.
I had already set some targets and goals for myself as a newbie, though my targets and goals were advanced toward the end of February. Now for the purpose of this contest which only needs our January goals, I will try to reshuffle my goals and fit them for January only.
What were my goals? What are those things I desire or seek to achieve as a newbie by the end of January?
HIVE POWER
Within my two weeks here, I have been able to accumulate 258 HP at the time I took this screenshot. Do you think that is an easy task in just two weeks? And a newbie for that matter? If you think it is, then try being a newbie for just one day and you will understand, but I guess that is not necessary because you all have been there and you know exactly how it feels and how difficult it was.
Do you wanna know how this was made possible in two weeks? Don’t worry, I am here to tell you.
Yes, I set my hive earnings to 100% Hive Power. It's not magic, a savior didn’t come from above to lend it to me. I made that sacrifice in order to grow my account.
You might ask or wanna know why I did that.
Well, I would have still made that choice over and over again and I am so glad I found the newbie initiative when I first arrived here.
The money is not as important to me right now as my growth is.
I love a situation whereby each passing day, I leave a particular level I was to another level. This shows growth and development. In life generally, I don’t like being stagnant or at the same level every day. Inasmuch as I grow physically, I need that growth too in other aspects and areas of my life.
- HP Goals?
This is not gonna be easy but let’s just put my faith to work. By the end of January, I hope to achieve and accumulate 400-450 Hive Power.
Trust me, as a newbie, I would need to work my butt out to be able to achieve that but it's a challenge I am willing to take.
FOLLOWERS
I guess we all know how it feels to have some persons follow you right? If you don’t know the feelings then please let me tell you how it feels. I leap for joy every time I open my notification and I realized a certain person followed me. Especially if it came from someone you never expected to follow you. If you have an oldbie follow you and a renounced person for that matter I am sure you know the joy will be on a whole different level. If you doubt me, ask my brother, he will tell you how excited I am every time that happens lol.
It gives me a great feeling of satisfaction when someone finds my content (in posts and comments) sensible and valuable.
To me, a follow is a kind of signature that tells you or reminds you of the value you had imprinted somewhere. Each time I get a follower, I am satisfied with my work for that day.
To tell you the truth, to be notified of a follower thrills me more than an upvoted content.
- Followers Goals?
Presently I have 48 followers and I am looking forward to topping the list to atleast 60 followers by the end of January. Is it possible? Yes, It is very much possible and it is only if I work hard for it.
COMMENTS
It takes a less busy person to be able to engage people’s posts, read them, and leave behind sensible comments either to contribute or appreciate in a constructive manner but it also takes a determined person to do the same, whether busy or not.
It is said, that determination is the key factor to achieving anything in life. When once a person is determined, he can break protocols to achieve whatever he or she sets his or her mind on to achieve.
I have been a little busy for the past 7 days. I wholeheartedly engaged well in my first week here and I had a little number of total comments but I am not relenting efforts since this is one of the reasons why this task came for us to set our goals and set out to achieve them.
We can only strike a reasonable interaction and communication through our comments on people’s posts, it's another way of growing fast and getting some attention, and making yourself known.
- Comments Goals
So for my goals concerning comments, I am hoping to record 1200 comments at the end of January. Presently I have 516 total comments and I am sure I can do better but only if I am determined and hard working.
