Mademoiselle in the Veil

The history of fashion is in the know of many inventions that today seem to us ridiculous, impractical, strange and even monstrous. One may remember the long story of crinolines (women's skirts) - they were extremely difficult to wear, made women suffer on daily basis and imposed quite sensitive restrictions on their activity and capabilities. But look at the veil!... it provides certain mystery, charm and irresistibility even to an unattractive girl!

When I took these captures I was thinking about #monochrome right away from the start... and the first thing I did, after copying the files to the hard drive, was to adjust the appropriate black and white conversion mode to get a beautiful contrast black and white images. I liked the result! But then I decided to create color versions too, why not ---

What do you think? which one you'd prefer?
NB. I do not have in my props arsenal a proper lady's top hat or a veil, unfortunately. (But I do have a magnum revolver and a few fans! lol) Today the role of a veil was played by an anti-mosquito cape :)
