The tridax weeds is of often referred to as stubborn weeds sometimes and this is simply because the absolutely grow unnecessarily even when you do not want them you see them around your farm inside your farm also along your footpath way. And the way its grows make it also sometimes looks extremely difficult to see when its in dry season and in some state and country. But here where I reside and I also practice the agriculture. We have it in abundance for sure. So many farmers come from far and near to fetch them in excess for their animals. Animals like rabbit, sheep, goat, chicken and so on. Some animals uses it as antibiotics even when they are not feeling sick. Farmers uses them constantly for The cure of so many disease that is suppose to attack the animals on the farm. I took some pictures of this WEED when we got to the farm at the back right hand corner of the Agricultural farmland.
- This is a great weed that are also used by HUMANS. for treatment of Malaria and so on. It should be use as prescribed. Sometimes it can be tea form or prepared as green vegetable soup.
How To Transplant It.
The Tridax weeds can be a source of many reasons to make it a point to have it in your farm or garden because of your animals. You can transport them and transplant them when there is heavy rainfall thereafter. It can be transplanted into a new environment without delays.
You can see it growing up in the mix of green vegetables and if you want it, it will still survive. This is why it is highly recommended you observe your farm regularly to know to what extent what weed you have for your farm if you want them to keep on growing so that you will use them for your animals up keeping.
Animals like rabbit love the flower a lot not just rabbited on but gaining pics as well. I have witness a farm in Minna, Niger state. Where they also have they mixed of animals on their Farm. The rabbit the guinea pig, sheep and goat. They always offer the Tridax weed to the rabbit and guinea pig at the same time.
- It is always green as this when you see them in the rainy season. Although if you also need them to be in your farm you must always protect them and also manage them effectively. That is why I recommend artificial irrigation system always. It's apps to keep the farm up going slowly that people will actually ask you what is the secret to your Farming system.
I use them for medicinal purposes and also for my animals. For the medicinal purposes I absolutely watch them thoroughly and Cook the leaves. Making sure that it spend more than 15 to 20 minutes. After it might have been cool down. Then I drink it three times in a week.
You can have it planted in your own farm or garden as well then you monitor it thoroughly. But when it is growing out of hand you can eradicate them carefully done. Then you also make sure that they flower also goes down so as for it to regenerate after a while.
The main purpose of the weed sometimes may be used to control erosion. When it is been planted in a erosion filled area. You see people leaving it for a purpose. This will reduce the rate at which the erosion flood away a particular area or site or farm, or community.
