It costs literally 100 dollars now to just build your own large hi quality large format 3d printer good enough to teach students and its a shame this isnt a federal program.
also a 3d printing food truck style 3d printer mobile with 8+ high soeed printers making useful stuff like phone cases and tripods would cut into the cheap overseas plastic mess we all want to help stop anyway right? well imagine a brightly lit squid boat light style food truck with no food just maybe gummy bears and 3d printers going all night making usefuk objects leople can choose and add their name to with one click like in halot bot adding text... we can havd touch screen tablets with apps to help people choose existing models or have e ployees help tjem 3d model new things but usually theyd just get cases and tripods and stuff to save them like 25 bucks or more, cutting out middle men, a new world really if we had mobile 3d printer mobiles and 3d printer vending machines at 711
Even if current Administration pushed a 3d printer in every class, a chicken in every pot style gimmick , it would still be a great effect and give kids a taste of something almost NO children are getting to play with and thats a huge shame considering how magic these things are . Every school having 3d printers could create whole generations of kids interested in engineering and science and manufacturing. Kids could use 3d printing models as homework and that would teach them actually useful skills. This is going ro become a larger and larger industry as 3d printers get easier and easier and made in america brands emerge like prussa in Czech, really high end stuff like that can happen when you show kids these machines so you can have in 5 years some student graduating and making a business to build even better 3d printer kits than prusa etc...
so many possibilities happen when 3d printere are mandatory in every school and every student HAS to have time in them so it becomes a class where theyre told to print sonething useful in a specific useful category.. it would be such a WASTE to NOT have 3d printers in EVERY school and there has to be enough to allow every student to at LEAST 3d print 1 larhe object a week! or month if they soend a month 3d modeling it and they end up with 1 try and maybe 1 do iver before 1% completion, make 3d printing complex models a game and an education grde level adventure with k-6 students learning basic geometry prints and jr high and highschool atudents learning math to do even more complex and useful engineering snd fractal prints!!
after i got ny 3d printers both resin and pla at the same time, and switched back and forth to retain max hobbyist novelty interest, i realized these machines are gateway drugs (cheapest best machines on market rightnnow i say, are what i hunted for, 100 dollar creality halot one for resin, and this massive 120 sunlu s8pro 310x310x400 just huge and cheap and i believe a creality clone
untill you buy one you just dont understand
parents just dont understand
if they had a filament 3d printer in every home it would change the nation and millions of children would want a 3d printer and save up for them and buy them with student discounts and 3d printed parts
schools would get deals to internally mass produce the machines hopefully with cheap kita from someone like joseph prussa originals but which can license out a cloner qith decent QC to make the cheapest but high precision educational 3d printer for over 10,000 schools and dozena of classes per school.
where i went to school we had a downtown public library within walking distance and now it has a 3d printer for public use but a massive wait
i also believe in the future of public 3d printers in vending machine form and in stores with fast printing enabled that also does a small end portion of an object in fine mode to show detail, so people could get an idea of how good these printers can print
i really want to open up a chain of 3d printer installations inside existing stores or malls maybe with a kiosk placed somewhere free, maybe at the park with other vendors, and i had an idea to install a 3d printer in back of my car and open the back and show people fast printing of instant toys and show off a simple web based 3d modeling on a laptop tablet and phone
having a phone and my 3d printer in back of my suv with back door rolled down or opened up in the air, to show off the printer snd form a que of requests, hand written on paper or using an app or or website
this is how we can let random passerbys of our 3d printer kiosks how to model stuff on their phones maybe even with ai like meshy.ai which does midjourney style discord bot ai 3d models from prompt, and ya know that could let people type in what they want, model in 3d with the cheapest nrealair or occulus quest possible and have people prompt and headset 3d modeling (on an open source headset that actually has blender which im unsure if official occulus has )
so at a kiosk or back of a truck we can show off a cheap fast 3d printer, sell them with affiliate links and get referal income, and sell filaments we buy in bulk and make from recycled plastics and bottles, at a decent markup and fair price when u factor in their shipping , we could have a system like dispensary drivers but with filaments/resins and accesories for 3d printers
we could have a cheap sunlus8pro and a creality or an elegoo small resin printer and tiny curing station or even just cheap solar rotating stands on the roof of the car in the sun fir a fwlew hours is PERFECT to cure LIVE in front of everyone as they are on display!
that way you get to show them off all rotating in the sun and build a little mini fenced off area using 3d printed rope stands and some home made velvet ropes like at a nightclub, made with a small piece of red/purple even green/orange velvet and you could have little carpets miniatures, women love dollhouses so do old people, my uncle and aunt used to make and sell them at antique shops in ocean beach and i see a big opportunity nit even for profit but just fun networking to go out and bring a 3d printer in a portable case or 3d printed carrying kit, place in the back of your car with 3d printed shock absorbers and CAREFULLY designed 3d printed mounts custom made for your car, or even slide out and down tray system, or 3d oribt folding wing navy style with folding 3d printers with all the built in wires etc all in special hinge housings,
i think you could sell the idea of 3d printing quote well by actually showing off the 3d printed parts that make portable carrying case enclosure system for a small 3d printer even a resin printer to fit in a small car's back seat using something like a carseat adapter for a small 3d printer, just having these machines portable for outdoor show and tell could be so fun with a tip jar and a "ill print anything" sign, it could also make a great youtube video, if you have one or better yet two high speed 3d printer and can handle many people then you could sell them via affiliate links and or even sell some in person for a hefty markup or build them from kits maybe and sell for more than your time and materials , maybe you could fit a couple in an average car, an rv is ideal for a mobile 3d printing setup that could again use custom 3d printer shock absorbers so just order lots of heavy duty suspension springs etc and you can print in carbon fiber pet etc and yeah
making a mobile 3d printing rvs with like 8 3d printers each and extra solar panel and battery system and generators could be so cool if you cut out like 4 squares on each side of the rv like an old shop of the line but with 3d printer beds with little doors like vending machines that let you grab the item when its done
just having the ability to drive around with 1 3d printer on display somehow maybe minivan with sliding door open and custom tent like zipper cover with square opening ro grab items on the build bed
imagine that! think about it, not just one car with a 3d printer to print stuff for the public and promote/sell 3d printers, but a whole rv with 8 machines 4 on each side so people can come up to it , maybe it has to be stationary and setup outside the rv on foldout tables or in large side luggage compartments, but having little windows like A FOOD TRUCK i think is the eay to go
yeah imagine a food truck biggest they make with 3d printers inside and you walk up and the counter just has 3d printer beds on display with employees ready to help you make or choose a print for an extra cost and then print stuff really cheap, or buy your own filament membership etc
we could encourage people to print at these mobile 3d printer mobiles untill they print so much that we recomend they buy their own 3d printer etc and sell it to them and filaments because an rv or food trucj can be full of supplies like that!
so i know its a long stream of conisouness but what do you think if mobile 3d printer vehciles like food trucks converted to hold several 3d printers all printing models cheap for random people in the street who walk up and get their first model free and after that just charge enough to pay employees (who can earn more money with comissions from sales of 3d printers and filaments ) so our employees can give out a lot of filment credits to people who look like theire having the most fun and then start throwing the idea of buying a cheap 3d printer around....invest in paying for like up to 5 even 10 bucks worth of free filament and print time for people trying to 3d print big items and ENCOURAGE this and Alwats cut them off like halfway through building completed parts of a suit so they walk away with only part of the 10 piece suit and now they have to buy their own 3d printer to finish these big projects we encourage, imagine seeing people amazed handing tjem a completed atorm trooper helmet after a few hours while we have 7 other printers in the food truck all making big items for other people and we can do online orders and have them delivered like dispensaries and have common items like filament ready to deliver IN 30 MINS anywhere in a city, and ut ends uo cheaper than online shipping and money goes ro a local driver to actually ensure you get filament within 10 to 30 mins IN THE MIDDLE OF A PRINT
See thats just one advantage of a beautiful local 3d print mobile staffed like a food truck with day time shift and night time shift outside of nightclubs in downtowns , imagine these food trucks filled with 8 or more fast 3d printers all with bright lights on them and lcd screens outside showing their webcams
also having geek squad type services to help people with 3d printers after you buy enough filaments and such, that would be really nice
