I want to start by saying that I have no personal problems with the people who use this term. I’m the type of person who likes (almost) everyone.
I believe everyone has value to me and I could have value to them- of they care to notice.
I am that idiot who loves everyone. (I say “ idiot” because it often bites me in the bottom and not everyone loves me).
But— I’m tired of hearing “circle j~”.
I agree, the whales and dolphins do tend to forget that they were once minnows and red fish (the terms on Hive, for those of you reading those who aren’t Hivians. This means, “noob” or “bottom of the ladder”, in laymen terms).
I also have felt lost in the ocean. I too have expressed this.
That said, there’s some things we have to remember about society and its norms:
- friends support friends - get over it
- humans have an affinity to familiarity - that’s a natural instinct and behaviour
- showing worth takes time- a LOT of time. Too much. More than seems fair
- I support those who do me and you should support those who do you.
- Circle J~ doesn’t necessarily mean someone is a jerk- unless they are. One is capable of mutual votes and supporting outside of their circle.
Stop using the term “circle j~” so freely and incorrectly defined. There’s nothing, NOTHING, wrong with exchanging love, support, and appreciation!!!
Also, why in the hell are people adding a pornographic term to writing, art, education, and socialization?
I’m so over this sexualization of everything-
