@snook and I went to bed last night. or so we both told each other LOLOLOL
I'm sure we had EVERY INTENTION of sleeping - but we did stuff on Hive instead. hahahahaha
I woke up to her post, sharing about the last few days of her life - with downvotes, scammers and it led her to share about HER journey on the blockchain!
She tagged me to share mine... and now we are here! Let's begin! hahahaha
(oh - and she loves using bitmoji in her posts - so I will also - in honor of her!) hahahaha
Questions:
How long have you been on the Blockchain?
I joined November 24, 2016. So yep! Just celebrated my fifth year!
What was your background in Cryptocurrency when you first came to the blockchain?
Hehehhee I thought it was fake money, but my friend told me it wasn't. I didn't believe him for 18 months. 😂😂😂 I had no idea what it was, gave away tons of what I earned cuz I thought it was like giving away Monopoly money 😂😂😂😂😂 and just had a blast writing and getting to know people. It wasn't until one day I saw what was left in my wallet was $1600 and what was in his was $87,000... That I was like oops. It's like really real? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂 Guess I shouldn't have been making it rain so much??? ROFLLLLLLLLL
What was your background in writing when you first came to the blockchain?
I had written my first book a few years prior, but I had always been a storyteller at heart. That's the ONLY reason why I actually joined in 2016. I wanted to be able to connect with my readers. When you write a book, it's a very sterile environment. Somewhere in the world, someone buys your book. They might leave a comment somewhere or a review, but there is no real relationship. Here, I LOVED talking with people in my comment section about what I was writing. And I loved connecting with them on THEIR comment section about what THEY were writing!! It was - and still is- the BEST place for writers and readers to dialogue genuinely!!
How many people did you know when you first came to the Blockchain?
One hehe
How did you meet people when you first came to the Blockchain?
At first, in the comment section. But it was kinda overwhelming. Like trying to meet a bunch of people the first week in school by talking to them all at lunch, meeting every person at their lunch table.
It's so many people, so many posts. I didn't know how to focus, and felt like I was spinning around a lot.
Then I went to @shadowspub PYPT show, and everything changed. I met so many people that became family there, and that became my core, my base, my lifeline....and I stretched out much more comfortably from there over time.
To me, that's important. When you're alone, everything feels uncertain. But when you know you have people that you can turn to, and rely on...when you know you've got people who have your back to help, and grow together.... It just feels like you can accomplish so much more.
Who did you look up to when you first came to the blockchain?
Hahahaa so it might seem like I would say "all those people in PYPT" ...and I did LOVE them and respect them. But I didn't really look up to anyone.
Why is that? Cuz we all felt like we were on the same plane! I never felt "below" anyone. I always thought we are in this together, no matter what our skill, rep, wallet size, post number... That stuff was all just window dressing to me.
We were and still are ...friends and family that learn from one another, challenge each other, and all have different gifts that make us amazing AND baggage that keeps us humble hahaha
How would you describe your first three months on the blockchain?
So much freaking fun. I didnt understand the money, the politics, the bullshit, the wars, the payouts, the rules ...hahahahaha
And that kept it ALL FUN for me. And I took that fun and tried to magnify it every place I connected. 😂😂😂
Has being a part of the blockchain changed you in any way for the good?
It's changed my life. At some point, I realized that the money was real, and that I could actually supplement my income WHILE doing what I loved. Money never brought me here, money doesn't keep me here. But it is DEFINITELY icing on an already very delicious cake. I hope that is clear. Lol it's delicious icing on delicious cake and I'm covered in it all. LOLOL
I have been able to do things that I NEVER could do before because of crypto earned through writing on blogs.
Hehehe and something pretty sweet is coming up soon that I can't wait to do. (Nope...no spoilers) 😂😂😂😂
What is your favorite memory from your time on the blockchain?
When @enginewitty did the Alliance Block Party in Colorado and I got to meet so many people I loved. I never will forget that, as long as I live. I still look at those pictures and laugh my ass off seeing people with sparkly eye patches on....digging for paperclips in rice to win prizes. @jayna and @snook I can still remember how hard you guys were laughing... Lololol I SEE your faces all the time. Man, I just loved hugging and laughing and eating and playing games ....best memory yet.
But more to come!
If you could give advice to a new person signing up to Hive what would it be?
I actually am doing two videos this week on this because I talked to so many people in the comment section who were newbies in need of advice. It's all about MANAGING YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
But @snook, I will take your advice and keep the video but also write the advice out for those who don't have data!
P.S. I actually lost half of one video and need to re-record that one cuz I wasn't taping for half the time 🙄😒 I have a love/hate relationship with technology lolololol
Ok...well, I loved this! Hehehee
And @snook, I'm sorry you had to give your first downvote... But sometimes, downvotes are needed to give people wakeup calls.
Hopefully, we all learn and grow together to keep crypto a safer place for everyone to thrive. It can happen....people just have to care enough to keep it that way. I'm glad you do 🤗
who to tag??? hmmmmmm... I shall tag @saffisara and @bluefinstudios hehehehe
