Between HIVE, PEAKD, and Steemit I have been fairly prolific in my writing over the years. Some of my posts have been instructions on how to do things. Sometimes I need to reread those instructions as well.
PROBLEM: I can't seem to find a reliable way to search my posts for keywords, by year, by month, etc.
Is there a way to do this?
I used the search feature in the upper left on PeakD and that mostly just returns results from when I posted on Steemit and mostly from 2018. That isn't particularly useful. It also doesn't return all of those results that it should.
I realize searching the entire blockchain might be cumbersome but it'd certainly be nice to be able to search under a specific profile...
Is this doable and I just haven't discovered how?
EDIT: I was looking for my most recent How-To in getting Daz Studio characters into Unity with specific focus on getting the eyes to work properly. I thought I wrote something up on that within the last year. Maybe I didn't. I found an older post from 2018 that I wrote (perhaps under @seductiveart) that covered the topic but has some flaws.
I was working with Genesis 8.1 figures this time and it turns out that was the problem. They changed some texture mapping on parts of the body and the eyes. That messed things up..
When I went back to Genesis 8 I didn't have any problems:
Here are some photos of my journey trying to find answers...
That is a Genesis 8.1 with Embedded textures just to see if it would work. I haven't corrected the eyes, eyelashes, added PBR settings, etc. I just wanted to see if the head avoided the issue in the following two examples...
Obviously some problems with the textures in those screenshots. Also those eyes are from a different Genesis 8.1 specific texture because no matter what I did I couldn't get the Genesis 8 textures to work there...
I went back to Genesis 8 to try it rather than using 8.1 and the methods I remember work just fine.
